Someone was looking for a PTS 991.1 GT3 RS a month or so ago ? JZM have just listed a Mexico Blue car at £180k, looks to have all the right options...well priced for a PTS car IMHO. Good test of the market to see how quickly it sells. Last PTS car I can remember was Tom Hartley Jr with a Guards Red car which sold very quickly for £215k though can’t remember the mileage,

Good find, looks a lots a lovely spec in my favourite colour and if we consider they just sold a lovely violet car for 167k with similar mileage it’s not badly priced if there’s a little bit of wiggle room in that £180k price.

Can’t be many in that colour?

Agree that’s one to keep an eye on, the estimate seems more realistic to other touring asking prices.

150k to 175k

For a little bit of light hearted humour shall we all have stab at what we all think it may sell for???

My guess is £165k plus auction fees

Why is it being sold at an auction in the first place..? You'd think the original OPC would have bought it back and paid a large premium, or am i missing a trick here..

Maybe its being sold by someone who works for a OPC!

It’s being sold by the owner of Silverstone Auctions. Last time I went to a car auction was thirty years ago, might go just to see what’s what!

As much as i prefer the extra aggressive looks of the RS over the GT3 I think there should be serious consideration given in taking the new GT3.2 over the .1 RS

Its bloody annoying but a choice that faces us!

One has probably got as good an engine as we will ever get, the other has a brewing potential problem!

I’d love to drive them both back to back.

And your reason for believing that the rs has a potential engine problem is.......? While it has had the odd failure (like any other engine) and seemingly is quite keen on oil early on, the rs has had nothing in the order of the problems that the gen1 gt3 has and as far as I can tell in Europe where loads are driven on trackdays, they have proven as robust as one can reasonably expect for a car used in that way.

The RS engine is pretty bombproof as is the newer G series 3.8L 991 GT3 engine .

Whatever we think personally there is still an underlying fear of it being a chocolate engine, its how its seen in the Porsche World, a shame as I would have had one over the GT3.2 but it was enough to put me off and I won't be the only one!

I have to be honest and given the choice of a 991.1 GT3 RS or a 991.2 GT3, I'd pick the GT3 every single time.

The new GT3 is just that good.

Don't get me wrong, the 3RS 991.1 is such an event to drive, but its more extreme and in my opinion more suited for the track. The GT3, I can just jump in any time of the week and blast it on the backroads.

It certainly is,I miss the looks of the RS but in driving terms you cant ask for much more than the GT3.2 offers up!

Its going to be really interesting to see what happens to these cars if GT product does go the Turbo route.
