Weird spec and low mileage.
Difficult car to value.
If you specifically want one without buckets and cage to keep for quite a time then fine.
But otherwise it is hard to see the car appealing to the majority of RS buyers who demand in particular buckets as part of the spec.
As a consequence the car will need to be quite a bit cheaper than the current ap.
Very odd spec. I saw this too and double, double-checked.Difficult car to value.

It sort of makes no sense, but then someone bought it in the first place... it will undoubtedly have a far, far narrower audience than a more track-focused RS.

My estimate is that 2 thirds of RS's have yet to see the track , hopefully as the values go down and new users come in things will change .
Agreed. As the prices fall, they do begin to look tempting, but... these RS's really do just want to go fast. Very fast. I'm sure I'd be quicker in one, but I am equally sure it would all be down to the car and then, if/when it all went wrong, it'd happen to quickly for me to know which way is up. MadMarkM3 said:

That's my thinking av185 - I love the idea of an RS for the chassis, but I don't really want the buckets and I'm not really a fan of cages in road cars when you're not wearing a helmet. So will it depreciate like a stone?Difficult car to value.

Alternative is a 991.2 GT3 PDK of which there will be more comforts available although still not many. Better engine, better sound, just as rapid, newer car, better warranty and more usable too.

I think there are better value cars out there and if you have to sell again in the short to medium term it will be painful but if you specifically want an RS without buckets and cage that is probably the only one. The spec could also suggest it is not c16 so worth checking.

Very good point about buying a 991.2 GT3 instead of that Comfor5 Spec RSAlternative is a 991.2 GT3 PDK of which there will be more comforts available although still not many. Better engine, better sound, just as rapid, newer car, better warranty and more usable too.

Tell you what, there are some really great .1 GT3RS for sale at the moment, what a cracking car for the price!
Makes me want to get another UV Purple RS, loved my 16 reg car with silver centre seat sections.
I know exactly what you mean - I think my UV RS was the one I have enjoyed the most in the 991 era. Not saying it was the best car, but just I had more fun in it than the other carsMakes me want to get another UV Purple RS, loved my 16 reg car with silver centre seat sections.

Terry - I see yours has gone! What you replacing it with?
Mine went in December to the OPC as I traded in for another GT4 - but alas the need for an RS is strong... Although the Lizard has been sold last week.Jack drinker said:

A true enthusiast admires and enjoys sports cars from numerous makers, not just Porsche..I never buy cars for 'keepers' as i like to try different cars as i get older.I have precisely zero interest in amassing a large car collection which land up collecting dust as garage queens..I don't mind losing a few grand on every car i own, as i use all of them as its maker intended.
However blowing £50K on every expensive sports car is tantamount to wasting my hard earned money and totally irresponsible IMO.
It all comes down to how each individual made his/her money in the first place..Every financially successful self-made person i know hates 'wasting' money as they feel the pain in terms of the effort that went to make it..
All of the above doesn't apply to luckier individuals who amassed their wealth through an easier route ie Lottery wins. inheritance etc. These people don't mind wasting money for obvious reasons..
All of us are in different situations and 'true enthusiasts' come from all walks of life..To suggest otherwise is just snobbery..!
I think the difference between a true enthusiast and you you is that an enthusiast buys the car they love. You have previously stated that if the GT3 depreciated like a normal car then you wouldn’t have bought one. In a way you’re still an enthusiast, maybe just when it suits you. However blowing £50K on every expensive sports car is tantamount to wasting my hard earned money and totally irresponsible IMO.

Actually i'm more of a dog enthusiast than a cat enthusiast when i think of it.. As its Friday and i've been working from 6AM to 2AM all week my brain has seemingly impaired function..The SAS call it sleep deprivation training.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
