I picked up a Rolex Submariner a couple of months back (luckily finding one in an airport dealers after 18 months of looking).

I wear it daily for everything including gardening, fishing etc - and it's now lost some of its original lustre.

What's the best thing to use to keep it shiny and in looking in good condition?

Soft child’s toothbrush, warm very lightly soapy water. Rinse then dry with a nice fluffy white towel to see how much gunk still has to come off after the tooth brushing. Works for mine.

It tells you what to do best in the booklet that came with the watch. Or at least used to.

Basically warm soapy water and a good rinse.

I always then buff mine with a soft cloth, the kind you get for cleaning an lcd screen.

Comes up a treat

Remember to wash out the soap after use to stop the children complaining too much

my new Omega says hot water and soap with toothbrush. I have used this on Omega and Rolex.

Shaving foam works a treat.
