Cayman S 987.2 buying

Hi,
I'm going to look at a 987.2 Cayman S tomorrow (2010 model). I was wondering what the main things to look for before buying would be, everything I've read points to the Gen 1 models having a number of potential issues, but the Gen 2 not having any.
Is this true?
It's low mileage (40k) with FPSH.

I've had a 987.2 Cayman and now have a 987.2 Cayman S. Things that I've had done in no particular order before the 40K mark (so things to watch out for if they've been done):
- Transmission cables: they frequently snap and when mine went there's an upgrade kit Porsche fit so if it's gone recently that should have been done
- Clutch: my clutch and flywheel needed replacing on my base Cayman around that mileage - the flywheel is £700 alone - if the clutch feels heavy it's on its way out
- High pressure fuel pump: think a lot were replaced early on but mine had a slight oil leak so I had it replaced, pretty big job so make sure to look for even the slightest drip of oil under the engine (much easier on ramps of course - it's tightly packed in the engine bay). Also if it takes a few starter motor turns to start, that could be another indicator, after mine was replaced it instantly starts every time, previously had been a bit sluggish
- Radiators: unless it's got grills on the front stones and debris easily get in and hit the radiators - worth shining a torch in to look at the state of them
- Brakes: discs seem to last around that long depending on how they're driven, but crucially it seems it's the inside face of the discs that go before the outside so make sure you have a look (or feel) at the inside faces
- Control arms / bushes: any clunking over bumps likely indicates a worn bush, in my case a front lower control arm. Clunking on full steering lock is normal and if you hear a groaning sound when stationary turning lock to lock then I'd put money on the strut mount bearings needing doing (happened to both my cars well before 40K miles so likely done already)
- Battery: the standard Porsche approved Moll battery (which you need for the warranty) is a piece of junk and if it's still on the original one will definitely fail soon
Thanks - very comprehensive! That's a lot to look out for, I can check most of it when I see it/drive it. I've been told to check for a puff of smoke on start up too. Do you happen to know if the radiator grilles are available to be retrofitted?

I have Zunsport grilles that are easy to fit and remove with just a screwdriver. Once fitted I don't notice them as they blend in nicely. Very popular and seen them on a lot of Porsches.
My base Cayman used to give a puff of smoke on startup randomly and almost always if I parked with either the left or right side higher than the other (could produce quite a cloud but it cleared quickly). But it never used any oil. My S has never done it. The flat sixes are renowned for randomly doing it so as long as it clears quickly I wouldn't worry.
One thing also to note is they can make quite a loud ticking noise when running (loudest on the right side of the engine) but they all seem to do it so no worries.
