It's an interesting one isn't it....lots of people did the same. I think if you're like 911 R though and love the car it would have been worth doing 100% to get your car to your spec.

I notice a v.low mileage 991.2 GT3 RS is now £240k from an OPC. Coming down pretty quickly.

But Spec is a bit Mehhh.. For me LWB is a must, plus Lizard is a throw away colour having seen a few at meets now, Wait until theres NO more .2 for Uk, then see the prices rise up!

I think he means he traded in a car below true market value to get on the list
I did this too, but I still got what I had paid for the car originally so I didn't equate it as a loss. Man maths.

I believe his deal also involved the 981 Spyder he had which came from his OPC and was subsequently sold. I suspect the losses of owning that car are also a factor in the £20k overs calculation.

generally agree, but if you are talking values then you should probably look at giving up profit to get another car, so it makes sense imo
having said that, driving a car effectively for free and then getting another one at list that will immediately trade above list is a nice situation to be in.

they're really not attracting the same premiums the last RS did are they!
Nope. And yet they are a better car. Says more about the current state of confidence in the market. There isn’t any!

That car was up for about £20K more a week or so go..They'll be down to £200K in the not too distant future, and even further if they bring out a fair number of WP RSs in the second batch..
I had a good look at two for sale at my OPC today, a MB one and a LG one. I must say both looked awesome in the metal but at my age it'll have to be a Black WP RS with Aurum wheels..

Looks like jzm sold their GT2 RS in Red/Black. Hard to know transaction price but the asking was £375k?

The mileage on that car is quoted incorrectly. It's been amended to 1237 miles on the Porsche site. Still nothing but people seem to want delivery mile cars and LWBs rather than folding.

Timing a Flat shift at 8.5k in a manual GT3 is something any PDK RS owner will never get to do, and it's magic. (I have not done this in mine yet, but got the hang of it with PEC's manual car on their private track ) I might have to fit some race LED gear change lights if I do track mine.

Flat up shifts in a manual GT3??? How does this work??
You pull the gear lever and the (HIDDEN PDK) system does the rest Lol,well not really PDK but the ignition cut that times the change! So without using a clutch and by moving a lever on the center consul instead of a lever on the steering wheel its not really that manual is it?

I guess you don't know how it works or what a flat shift is, as there is no auto clutch magic going on lol !!!
It's not that easy to do (as your brain wants to do a throttle lift), you have to PRESS the clutch and change the gear and be very fast while on WOT.
The sports mode option prevents the engine from over-reving when the load from the transmission is removed.

As I stated you can flat shift any car and if you can do that well you will not notice the sports mode option anyway., what the sports mode does is stop you hitting the limiter and matches the revs to stop over wearing of the clutch if you are a tiny bit slow !.

Takes about 2/10th but a good change is 3/10th any way. just a bit of fun which you cannot do in a PDK as you just click a microswitch !
And it's fully switchable to off if you wish.

Also choosing the manual means you get a real diff and more power to the wheels, the PDK has more losses and the E-diff , the 2 cars are not the same to drive at all ie. the manual is the fun car the PDK the car for gaining those extra 10ths on a lap with less interaction and more electrics.
