Got a .2 GT3 inbound plus Macan policy is due up. Best place to insure 2 P cars?
Have used Admiral previously but non GT, I will of course ask them again but looking for options?

Thanks

What do you want in terms of cover ? Do you want to use the GT3 on track ? That narrows your options and cuts quite a few insurers out.

I use Zurich Private Client for my GT3....policy includes three track days a year and allows for OPC repairs/garage of choice, OEM parts etc etc

Depends what your priorities are!

Don't think any track use just weekend (5k per year)

However I would like to do a first track day but probably take out single day cover if that is available.

Thanks

Unlikely a lot of the comparison site insurers (eg Admiral) will give you an agreed value policy for your GT3. Also having recently been through a claim with multiple insurers, Admiral and esure were a nightmare. My GT3 is insured through Lockton and they were brilliant. Their coverage is also far more comprehensive than most of the big names, including EU cover and PCGB track days. Would highly recommend them.

Have a look at the cost of single-day cover - the cost may persuade you that it's worth getting an annual policy which includes track days.

Manning has special Porsche policies, which happen to include unlimited track days (so long as organised by certain track day organisers).

I'm with Manning for my 991 Carerra 4S as I wanted track day cover.

The policy for the year was just over £1000.

A 'normal' decent policy from a mainstream company would have been around £500.

My quotes for a single day of track cover were over £300.

As I intended to do more than two track days I took the Manning policy.

Lockton or Manning. Even with only 1 day a year on track it's prob cheaper than a boggo price comparison site policy with a separate 1 day cover for the track.

Plus it's nice to speak to actual people when you call with a change to your policy rather than call centre automatons.

I’ve used Mannings and Adrian Flux to insure my Porsche’s over the years. Both offer agreed valuation, track cover, limited mileage policies.

I am with Admiral, circa £1,150 for the 996 and the C55.

Called Locktons and they're ~£850 for both cars, with all the benefits of Locktons (agreed value, your choice of repairer etc) plus they include European breakdown cover. Hence they are getting my business come the end of the month.

One thing that I found interesting - Admiral took £300 off their price to match Locktons, an impressive discount - but one that made me a little annoyed at the ambition of their renewal quote before I showed them the Locktons one.

Given that a) Locktons seems better and b) I can cancel my AA membership, they still lose.
