If so, how is it?

Just curious as I was browsing their website. Don't think I've ever seen any up for sale, which either means they're keepers as they're fab, they haven't made many, or both.

bit of both, modding is a small market so if you go to those levels it's normally a keeper.

I think a couple of people on here own or owned cars with full/partial CSR conversions. Can't remember who though - from memory feedback was quite positive on them

They're almost into the thirties in numbers now.

Probably worth getting this months issue of 911 and Porsche World (I think) as there's a feature on their most extreme (more track biased along with a decent power upgrade) CSR to date smile

GT3 power, also, it’s worth noting (996.1 version).

True, but I doubt it sounds or revs like the real thing. And if you feel so inclined, another 40hp is easily had from the Mk1, and it makes the engine as free revving as it should have really been originally.

be a Manthy upgrade people are talking about for that I would guess.

Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Engine Kit K400.

Manthey Racing engine power kits encompass the whole experience of thousands of racing miles with the Porsche 911 GT3 model range.
An increase of approximately 35bhp and 35 Nm, and a weight saving of 6.7 kg in the rear of a Porsche 911 results from extensive testing to ensure not only increased performance but also reliability and longevity. This kit was developed and tuned using one of the most modern test facilities in Germany. Improved acceleration and torque come at no cost to top speed, so there is no higher thermal load acting on the engine block. The kit includes a complete sports stainless steel exhaust system, sports air filter cup and the MM-Motronic.

Hi Mario,

I own the CSR retro. Links etc below. They're fab, really very special. It is a bespoke product and I think in terms of driving pleasure, amazing value for money. I also love the way it looks and I think the skill of RPM is in translating what I wanted from a car into what I have ended up with (in terms of driving dynamics).

The 310-320 odd horsepower in the CSR is a real sweet spot for me, especially for road trips, fast road driving and some occasional track work. I used it as my daily for a year after buying it, around 10k in and around London.

Anyway, I could go on all day. If you have any specific questions please fire away or if would like to have a chat, please feel free to drop me a PM thumbup

I am aware of that, and working with DynoMike of 911UK on an M96 to see whether we can make something interesting.

I think the 996.1 has aged really well. Also 996 has my favourite modern Porsche interior

I was responsible for CSR017. In short, it was great.

RPM now have a 996.2 CSR and a 997.2 demonstrator.

Ask away.

I believe it's CSR027 which you can see on the register. I haven't driven it or looked at it in any detail other than it was at Brands in the car park for the Porsche Festival.

All the CSR goodies. It came down to Le Mans Classic this summer on our road trip. Beautiful looking car, flow formed alloys, folding buckets and has front lift too.
