Seem about the same price now. What’s best? Will be used for driving to track days and ragging!

PDK VS PDK, got to be Gen1 RS hasn’t it? Aero, Carbon fibre. RS.

Agree, with no money limits..... .1 3RS being still more expensive than .2 GT3... RS a bit more track focused and special.

For me personally the answer in both cases is the earlier RS

I think the question is whether all the bits that make an RS special outweigh the engine in the .2. ?

For that reason I would take the .2GT3 if it were me.

.1 RS with Manthey set up a few secs faster a lap and more special ... interesting that the .2 GT3 PDK was only 0.1 sec a lap faster than the .2GTS in the sport Auto tests ....

OP asking about the gen 1 991 RS.

Great car although like the gen 1 GT3 doubts still exist on the durability of the engine.

Gen 2 GT3 better for road use, better engine and more involving 'manuel' option too.

which are both a lot faster than the 991.1 RS and night and day faster over the 991.1 Gt3 at 1.08,5 and 1.09,2 for both gen 1 cars !!!

Check out the many threads on here which suggest otherwise.

If your main use will be ' driving to track days and ragging!' then RS. otherwise GT3 gen 2.

The rs is the later engine which the gen 2 is actually built off!

The rs is such a beautiful looking car inside and out, without sounding rude to others its far more exciting to look at. Now that prices are drifting into the high 160k mark they are starting to look good value, if they drop into the 140k mark in the next 12 to 18 months they will be super value as a second / fun car.

any car with some good 3 ways passive race shocks, bigger wings, lighter wheels would net the same gains I guess.

what's the Manthey set up cost on the RS ? £40k at least.

better off with the 991.2 RS over paying £180k on the .1 RS and £40k mods you will never see back or have a warranty on imo.

I also would rather buy a Performante at less than list than a RS at overs also, far better value for money for me personally.
