Hope you’ve got a nice tent, when it comes to Performante anyway. Prices for these continue to fall. Takes brave man to bet they will appreciate short term.
I would wager they might go up, people want what they cannot have and t goes out of production in March, with 458S prices at £325k and these at £199k I think it's a safe bet you won't now loose your shirt on one.

There was a time when buyers of GT3's were really only interested in how they drove. It strikes me that in terms of driving reward there is absolutely no difference between a current 'well' specced and a poorly specced one.
you are not allowed to say "well speced" or "poorly spec " cars it upsets the PH massive.you have to say "low spec" or "high spec" as to not offend any one.
996 GT3 in comfort are lemons though so it's always been the case, spec a GT wrong and it won't sell at all at old or new.

I guess if you are looking for the best of what the car can be, it has to have PCCB and the cage.
Cage def makes the car stiffer, the PCCB def saves a lot of unsprung weight.
If you want the best performance you tick those box's if you don't care about the final 2/10th you don't and save a lot of money.
MR charge £96k to mod the GT2 RS for a few seconds round a 14 mile track.
you pays your money and all that.

They are at completely different (125k) price points, and Lamborghinis are not like Ferraris when it comes to resale, at all.with 458S prices at £325k and these at £199k I think it's a safe bet you won't now loose your shirt on one.
There are plenty of cars with minimal miles that would have listed at 255k now moving closer to 200k and your sub 200 figure is not unreasonable.
Whereas a Speciale is still north of list.

you could buy a Speciale no issue and they sat fully speced up at £220k for a few years which was below list. There are plenty of cars with minimal miles that would have listed at 255k now moving closer to 200k and your sub 200 figure is not unreasonable.

they dropped then went up when you could not buy them, I would say the Performante will do the same.
price points are, or should I say were the same.
The real cat amongst the pigeons at these price levels is the Macari 720S 18 18 plate 1k miles selling instantly as expected at £179950 ap.
Trouble is, being a McLaren it will no doubt be £150k by March.
Although evidently it was a launch edition car.
Although usual lack of Mclaren driving involvement v a rapid 911there is no disputing this Mc is a truly rapid car and epic performance for your money.

yes I do plan to buy a new Porsche GT car. At the moment the plan is to keep the other cars as they are great daily cars and purchase a new gt4 as long as it’s a 4.0 and can be specified with a pdk box.
Good luck with that.718 GT4 will be 'manuel' only.

I still think the Motor Trend “Head to Head” vid is the best comaparioson between the PDK and Manual car. It’s a bit cheesy but Mr Bovingdon is one of the presenters so has some credibility. PDK is quicker by 2/10ths on a 1min 24 Sec lap (probably a bigger margin in less able hands) but they make the point the manual car’s LSD does give it a different driving experience. One other thing they commented on was that the PDK doesn’t hold a gear when on the Rev limit even in manual ? It’s a paywall/subscription but you can cancel in 14 days and watch for free.
Wish I was a good enough driver to notice the difference in the diff...maybe one day!

GT3 market is now at another level as we see by the number of cars produced now. Buyers now want more than a just a great driving experience or perhaps they just want the GT cars for posing value.av185 said:

It was bought by a car trader to be taken off the market. Make of that what you want??Trouble is, being a McLaren it will no doubt be £150k by March.

a. Does he want to hold onto it until March and sell for a profit?
b. Does he have stock at a much higher price and needs this car out of sight so he can move his inflated cars?
Personally I'd say b.

So are you saying that a 991.2 gt3 is not depreciating at the moment?
I bet you have your gt3 up for sale right now trying your best to get out
If you read my post properly you will find the answer to your questions. So are you saying that a 991.2 gt3 is not depreciating at the moment?

And as I said mines a keeper until at least the end of 2019 early 2020. Makes no odds to me whether it drops to £100k or goes back up to £185k both scenarios of which won't happen btw.
A question for you....are you ever going to buy one or do you intend to spend all your free time posting on here?

Seems a risky strategy to me. Wonder how long he will stay in business a. Does he want to hold onto it until March and sell for a profit?

The biggest thing affecting the market in the near term is how many forced sellers there will be. Likely we are moving into recession (blamed on Brexit of course) and my guess there will be a few more cars and even fewer buyers. If on the other hand nothing much changes then I would think 991.2 prices will follow the trajectory of the gen 1.
