Quick question for you if you’re not too busy driving your new car !
Did they let you test drive it to see if you liked it? Or are people supposed to somehow know what they’re like, if they want to buy one ? Reasonably if you buy a car you should be able to drive it having not put down a deposit or anything crazy like that and then be able sensibly think about it ?
I have course realise that people selling these cars haven’t got them in mint condition , do not just want to have test pilots et cetera..
So did you get a good deal on it then ;-) ?
I think you've already answered your own question. Most buyers of a GT3 already know that's what they want. Hence they and the dealer will often not bother with a test drive. Especially when it's a fairly new GT3. The buyer is more likely to want to test drive the car if it's an older model e.g. 996 or early 997 version. But that would be more to find out if anything is wrong with it rather than if they are going like it (again the buyer has already decided they want one).Did they let you test drive it to see if you liked it? Or are people supposed to somehow know what they’re like, if they want to buy one ? Reasonably if you buy a car you should be able to drive it having not put down a deposit or anything crazy like that and then be able sensibly think about it ?

Seems like one of the biggest benefits over the old and new car is that I now have a tweleve o’clock marker Lol Aren’t these sonething like £168 when specking the car from new,if they are Porsche must be making £167 profit on this extra, genius pure genius
And leather steering column . I thought I was the only person ever to Spec this on a GT3 ! throt said:
You will not miss your old friends engine. You will feel the difference as soon as you pull away. The 3.8 and 4.0 are that different..
You are not wrong there!!!!!!!!! Night and day difference between the two engines. The 4.0 feels much more instant in its response to throttle inputs. It also feels like it pulls harder for longer without any drop off in power. In the 3.8 the revs kept coming but as a comparison the 3.8 felt like it stopped making power although it was still revving, where as the 4.0 feels like it keeps building power all the way to the limiter
I always liked the noise of the .1 but the .2 is truly even more enjoyable,it’s sounds and feels like it has an urge to gulp and devour more air.
The over all tone sounds a little deeper to me.

I’ve never actually test driven any car I’ve ever bought,it might sound strange but I know what I want and it’s all about, spec, mileage, condition and history. Did they let you test drive it to see if you liked it? Or are people supposed to somehow know what they’re like, if they want to buy one ? Reasonably if you buy a car you should be able to drive it having not put down a deposit or anything crazy like that and then be able sensibly think about it ?

Sometimes a test drive in a strange environment with a sales guy by your side can actually put you off!
I guess you can say the deal was good enough for me to be happy to go ahead.
Hope this helps answer your questions.
In summary the car is epic
