Always up for a meet, but next Saturday is the opening of caffeine and machine in Stratford,

Good excuse for a sat drive out and in 6 days :-) should have my Ti bypass on by then.

But fancy a black mountains meet up or a ring trip or the Scottish n500.

I'm looking at JCR's Ti rear bypass..Are you going for the silenced or unsilenced version..?
I'm also looking at lightweight rims and my clear favourite is BBS fi-Rs but also like HRE's R-101s..Don't know the price on the HREs but they weigh the same as the BBSs.

I phoned Anglesey track and they strongly advised going with any of the independent organisers. They are Circuit days,Javelin and Opentrack..I know that Circuit days are a very reputable outfit but i know nothing about the others..
Its prohibitively expensive to do it separately along with insurance etc..

I know a little about organising and running trackdays and I was about to reach out to you, to say that if you take on the task of organising the event (for instance, by booking the event in your name and/or by taking payment from participants) then you'd likely need to have PLI cover for about £10m. Not cheap, and probably not viable for a single event.

I have personal experience (as a participant) of both of the other operators you have mentioned; both Javelin and Opentrack are reputable businesses with good track records (no pun intended) in the industry. Each of them is likely to operate an Open Pit Lane (OPL) format at Anglesey. I would say that Javelin tends to position itself towards the 'no-frills' end of the spectrum and generally offers great value for money; expect a great mix of car types and also a thinning-out of numbers as the day progresses (for a variety of reasons...). OpenTrack is maybe pitched a little more towards the serious end of the market and that might be reflected in the cars that you would find on track at one of their events. One of their USP's is that they include free photography in their prices.

In short, I can certainly recommend both of these operators for a GT3 group event on track.

(Just a thought, though; why not see if you can go along (as a group) to a PCGB event ? I think that you can take part whether or not you are a PCGB member; they just charge a different rate for non-members. It's rather good being on a Porsches-only event).
