2ND Batch GT3RS Nothing Nichts Bugger All
Discussion
I have been told by my OPC this week that the second batch will be 2nd quarter 2019, it was on an email this week when I was chasing up delivery of my car, (funnily enough I was told at the Geneva motor show when I didnt make the first batch that it would be spring 2019 before they would build the second batch)

Scott.

I specced one for fun today - I only need about 1.5k Euros of options (basically cruise control, digital radio, passenger harness, 90L tank and extinguisher), but it is still a 200k car.
While undoubtedly a great car (and I would love to own one), I don't think I can get excited enough about it to spend that much money. Probably rather buy a 8-year old 997.2 RS for 50k less or a RHD 720s for similar money I think (not comparable I know, but still how I have to look at the world given I can't buy every car I fancy). Not that I have to worry about it, as they wouldn't sell me one anyway.
Good luck to those who are still waiting for one.

Porsche UK fully intend to release a second batch for the UK sometime next Summer if all goes according to plan..Trouble is the delays caused by the WLTP certification process which is proving very onerous.
plus it seems a no Brexit deal now, they might not even bother with a few RS UK sales when they can sell the cars into other markets with zero work.Porsche911R said:

What you say is a distinct possibility depending on the Brexit outcome..The ROW especially the US are clamouring for more RSs..Anyone with a Manual GT3 is daft to consider one unless he/she doesn't get on with the Manual box.I'm on the verge of buying a nice 458 which has distracted me from the RS..

As it will be the same engine IMO once done its all there in the same format for the 992,its got to be done for the 992 so why not R&D it on the 991,it cant be that hard for an automotive engineering company, its also going to be done for Speedster which is almost the same. I would guess that they publish the data and self certificate,I cant see a government official turning up to test each new model or model change.
