The standard GT3 and GT2 RS has left the Porsche UK configurator however the GT3 RS is still there..Waiting to see if/when a second batch of RSs coming to the UK is the only subject which bores me more than Brexit.( 718 GT4 close second)
Last i heard that if any more RSs get here it won't be until around August time..By then i'll have spent the money on a Ferrari/Lambo/Macca of sorts and the RS will be even further from my mind..

I been very busy in the last week and Sunday was a no drive day after a big night before..When i drove it last week for the first time with the Ti bypass and BMC filters i thought it transformed the character of my GT3 at sensible speeds..The roads were greasy damp and only 2.5C so no real fun..However it was enough to know it sounds way better than standard even going steady.
I didn't realize that the OEM paper air filters were also BMC..

That's interesting Taffy I hadn't noticed that the 3RS and GT3 had been removed, thanks for pointing that out. Maybe its an indication if the 3RS is still on the configurator that something may be due to happen, #AUGUST yikes

Macca not sure that's a good idea? Lambo Performante quite special biggrin

Should we start a separate topic along the lines of what it might be like to buy European vehicles in the case of a no deal Brexit getmecoat

August deliveries for a car that's now been superseded by the 992? Really?

The fact it's still on the configurator does seem positive, but I'm struggling to see how we'll get any more UK cars.

Have they retooled the factory for the 992? If so then they must have stock piled some 991 shells for any further builds.

My theory is what may look like GT3RS build slots in the Porsche system are actually Speedster slots, which would make more sense to me than a re-run of an old 991.2 model.

I just don't see what Porsche has to gain by producing a small number of UK only GT3RSs now that the 992 is out.

The Speedster is also a 991 GT3 chassis at heart I believe so they would still be producing old alongside new!

True, but it's not the same chassis so I understand a limited run of something different. Combined with the GPF changes that would be required, I just don't see it happening.

Have any GT3RS been built for the EU since the September emissions changes, or only US/RoW?

Was thinking of getting BMC filters, but have seen a number of videos showing oil from the filters gathered in the plenum which puts me off. The sound though...........:s

oem RS fitment.

also unlike the old days no MAF sensors to clog up, there is no oil coming off these filters anyway, not in a million years.
I would not reoil them though, just buy news ones knowing it's done right every 12 months.

OEM ones are not oiled are they, they are paper? If there's nothing to clog up then abit of oil won't hurt anyway. Unlike the 981 which still have MAF sensors. I'll have to see what Jens thinks, nice cheap mod as maintenance and a bit of something extra.

I have BMC filters fitted by Ehresmann when engine changed and I replaced them with a new set after 10k miles - old set washed and re-oiled ready for next scheduled change. No issues with contamination/large debris particles

Yours was a 981 wasn't it?
