Can Anyone Even Begin To Explain This?
Discussion
I am somewhat confused how,why or for what crazy reason this could be £372,000

The smart money is on the almost identical 997 GTS at £320k less.
Completely agree. As soon as you drive it it'll be worth £100k less, so you might as well buy a 997 GTS, unless you want to put it away until 2045 in which case it might be worth itSold a couple at <£220k a couple of years ago with < 5,000 miles, but can't see them being at that level in the current market
It's a lovely car and as I've said in the other thread - the 997 is (IMO) the pinnacle 911 so (IMO again) it's worthy of cult status, but the price of them is taking the piss. Even if I had the money, lots and lots and lots of money, I'd struggle to give more than £150k for one today. It is after all only a GTS with a few exclusive bits and bobs. I'd like to buy one in the next recession if they take a battering... only thing that might be on it's side though is so few UK RHD cars were built, so you're never going to see a page full of them in the classifieds. Damn. It really is a lovely looker.. even if it is a tarted-up GTS

It is a very pretty car that’s a fact I think the price is not too bad in the current market. Look what bog standard low mileage/fully restored standard old 911s are listed for.
That all these cars are listed at ridiculous prices is a different discussion though. As for the comparison with a normal 991 RS or GT3 - there are thousands of those, so if you look at which car to park in your garage for the next 20 years, then I suspect this one will be worth a lot more at some auction in 2040.... also it is much prettier imo

Judging it by the mechanical/bodywork differences with a gts or whatever is missing the point surely. It's a collector car with a numbered run of 200 and this one is delivery mileage. That's why the price is what it is as finding a similar car that's not already in a collection is going to be rather tricky. Only a ocd Porsche collector with too much money on his hands (and there are plenty of them) is going to get a car like this anyway and they aren't exactly going to be bothered whether it's like a gts or not......
Same with any other car with a limited edition number plaque really.
