Just curious though does anyone know how many of the above have been sold and registered in the UK? I understand that Porsche are a little reluctant to do so.

I heard very recently same comment re timing - heard nothing relating to numbers though - I must admit I thought numbers would be large to milk as much out of it as possible ? smile

According to how many left, 94 in 2015 + 222 in 2016 = 316 total. A handful of those could have been LHD imports, so let’s say around 300 for the Gen 1

Should there be another batch in May or June the car will have to be fitted with a Petrol Particulate Filter which means that Porsche will have had to up the engines power output to offset the power loss from said filter. Of course the other more important factor is the car will lose a chunk of that glorious sound. Also there is a qustion of there being sufficient space. I appreciate the the Wizards at the factory have a knack of getting around these things though for a short UK only run will it be worth the hassle for them?

Sure there will be a number of after market places where the filter can just be removed and re-mapped.

No absolute final decision will be made on a second UK batch until the Brexit circus leaves town IMO.
There's definitely a second batch with GPF coming to LHD mainland EU but no firm decision has been made for the UK.

I followed your example and bought a high spec 488 GTB in December which is putting a massive smile on my face every time I see it and drive it.

Can’t believe how many people have taken photos even as I drive by or stopped to look at it. I was at my friends house yesterday and a family walked past with 3 young children and they stopped to look at the car. I invited the children to sit in the car and get some photos taken.

Hopefully I made their day and the seeds are sown for future car owners

I've only had my Ferrari for a week and all public responses have been positive..Even cyclists have given me the thumbs up.My slightly understated Grigio Silverstone attracts attention so your Giallo striplo Strato must have waves of people following you..;)

Top man, I can remember being a young lad looking at what I thought at the time were out of this world sports cars. I’m sure you made them they happy and but a smile on their faces.

I was only saying the other day it’s a shame for some many current super cars to be left locked away and unused.
