997.1 GT3 - 911 Virgin

Ok the black GT3 at 911virgin looks great, is from someone with great feedback and surely someone is ready to buy so why hasn’t it sold yet?
Spring is in the air, the roads are dry and sky clear?
I said the same a few weeks ago. Looks a great car, just think it's a sign of uncertain times. People playing it safe with their spare coin for the foreseeable future.

Looks like the gt3 at Ashgoods has finally sold. I enquired about it in July last year so had taken 9 months to sell...
Tough sale IMO. PO on here, and as I understand it, it's a cracking example, but silver isn't exactly at the top of everyone's wish list, and the Comfort seats will divide opinion too. Add the two together and you'll find it's a very limited market (997 owners aren't the only ones, try selling a Mk1 or Mk2 996 GT3 in the same hue with Comfort seats, and it'll be an equally arduous task, unless VERY keenly priced)Frrair said:

I reckon it's super price-sensitive. If it moved from the 70's to the 69,995 which is around 4% it would sell quickly. We know that the 911V cars are spot on, so there's nothing remotely iffy about it.Spring is in the air, the roads are dry and sky clear?
Just a theory.

Have any of you guys actually been to see/drive the Ashgood or 911V cars? Do you have all of the invoices, background information, and maintenance details?
The 911V car does indeed look fantastic, but lots of assumption/speculation appears to be going on without any specific knowledge of the vehicle in question. Seeing the car in the showroom is not the same as understanding the whole purchase proposition.
High 60's was a fair price for the Ashgood car. Having seen, driven and been through it's maintenance history it wasn't the car for me sadly, but the colour and type of seats were not in my view, the reason why it didn't sell immediately.

Obviously I'm guessing regarding the 911V car, but having looked at quite a few cars there over the years, they seem to only sell the best, and they tell it how it is.The 911V car does indeed look fantastic, but lots of assumption/speculation appears to be going on without any specific knowledge of the vehicle in question. I've known Henry and his team for many years and all I'll say is he is totally honest and above board with all of his cars (and other business ventures). The 911V car does indeed look fantastic, but lots of assumption/speculation appears to be going on without any specific knowledge of the vehicle in question. Have no doubt, he tells it exactly as it is and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again (and unseen if it was the right car).

Don't get me wrong - I'm not suggesting anything to the contrary.Have no doubt, he tells it exactly as it is and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again (and unseen if it was the right car).
I'm attempting to glean whether anyone has actually been to look at the car being discussed, driven it, and gone over all of it's maintenance records/receipts etc, or whether the comments about the car thus far are based purely on speculation, which given the excellent reputation of 911V, would be a perfectly reasonable shout.
Just looking for some real experience-led feedback about this specific vehicle in order to ratify some of the assertions made thus far.

In answer to a previous post, I have been to see the GT3 in question at 911V. The positive feedback on here swayed me to make the trip down.
I have to say presentation wise it is a very clean car, however I was expecting more in the ways of history/receipts.
Maybe it’s me basing it on the file of history and receipts I have for my 7years old 911 but for a car over 10years old I was expecting more in this respect.
I also realised that in the metal, my dream Black GT3 doesn’t look as special as I was hoping.
If that’s one of the better ones, I’ll keep waiting for the right one to come along.

I have a black 997 already and it didn’t get the pulses going for me either. It’s definitely one of the better ones out there though for sure just by dint of the fact it’s original panel no accident car. Didn’t bother looking at history as my eyes were drawn elsewhere. I’ll lay a sportsmans bet she’s sold in next few days if not today I have to say presentation wise it is a very clean car, however I was expecting more in the ways of history/receipts.

Does anyone know who bought the GT Silver one from Ashgood?
it was your old one right? Wasn’t this the car which used to have a rs rear wing?
No, it's never had an RS wing.
I still miss it
When I was buying, I wanted a silver or grey car. I love the car I ended up with, but it looks very 'serious motorsport' in white and I feel a bit like someone who's writing cheques that can't cash in that regard.

IMHO 997.1 GT3s look superb in silver. Coincidentally, Ashgoods had another silver one (this one had the CGT carbon buckets though) for sale a few years back which sold on the week I was planning to go and look at it.
Yup Digga, that was my old car which Mike at Ashgood bought from me. Shame you missed it - even more of a shame that you missed buying it from me during the five or six weeks that I was advertising it everywhere as a private sale, prior to agreeing the deal with Ashgoods! It was a great car; I particularly liked the GT3 "in your face" cosmetics combined with the somewhat understated silver paint finish. I could be grown-up and all serious when the mood took me, and equally, at other times...
