Just sorting insurance for my 911, and Aviva Private Clients has come back as the best option according to the broker.

Has anyone had any experience of using Aviva Private Clients, any thoughts?

Thanks

Always found NFU best and cheapest for high end Porsches et al.

Do NFU and Aviva Private take direct customers? Or only through brokers?

Wouldn't deal with Avviva but NFU have a central number however you are far far better contacting your local NFU broker who will give you a better quote and tailor your policy to personally suit if need be. Speak to someone with proper experience too.

Nothing worse than speaking to some faceless basically clueless sales individual who is just another cog in a large insurance machine. Especially when it concerns your p+js.

Also NFU are one of the rare insurers who will do agreed value cover over otr cost on new cars for no extra cost unlike Hiscox Chubb Mannings etc. Have it on several GT Porsches and Ferraris etc and may be applicable to your 911 perhaps.

I was with Aviva Private Clients for a few years but changed to Mannings as Aviva PC don't cover track days.

APC were very easy to deal with and the prices were good.

I would happily use them again.

I was insured with Aviva PC primarily because they effectively give two years GAP insurance on the policy. However, when I got my GT3 I moved to Zurich Private Client as they cover cost of replacement up to 150% of invoice (which covered the premium to list) and they also cover for three track days included. Both excellent just depends exactly what you want!

Thanks for the replies. I’m going to get a few more quotes in.

There’s a new car replacement for 36 months, but as I’m getting a 991.2, would they replace with a 992?

I doubt it, I’d imagine they would give you a cheque for invoice value of your car. Worth asking though.

Also is your 991.2 new with you registered as first owner ? Can’t remember which company it was but you have to be first registered keeper or it can be a pre-registered car with up to 150 miles on it for the new car replacement to apply.

I have been with Aviva PC for several years and you may pay a but extra but better cover, easy to deal with and flexible when changing vehicles,

I believe they now give a 3 year replacement cover if you are the first owner of a brand new car. Never used NFU and a friend had issues with ZPC.

It’s new and I will be the first registered owner. It was the last build slot at the OPC, and is being delivered next week. I’ve spoken to the broker and Aviva will pay market price or invoice, whichever is greater. He said they’d also give me the option of replacing with the same 992 variant, should that be available. That’s as good as I’m going to get I reckon.

Yes, it’s 3 years.
