My kids used to be excited when i got a new sportscar..These days they're more embarrassed than excited even when my new 458 arrived by covered transport 9AM first Saturday after New Year.
We're dinosaurs and probably the last car mad generation..Same goes for many pursuits such as fishing etc..Today's youngsters spend too much time on-line in the Cyber world..No time for real life anymore.!

Match. made in car heaven cormiest , after owning my RS for 8 months and I use it 4 times week maybe more , my wife has only been in it once . One look at the wing and that was it , a few weeks ago the Telsa was in for service but we needed to go somewhere , and she insisted on an Uber rather than get in the RS again.... maybe that is a good thing

Only 2 on Autotrader, even then I think that the black one at £249K has gone.

Mine would have too, and he loves cars. Infact, cutting about in an RS on the road in suburbia, I'd feel the same as him. Utterly red-necked and embarrassed.

Strictly early morning hoon or track for me.

The older stuff, completely different story.

The so called ‘second batch’ is coming, forums are full of speculation based around own agendas.
I’m looking forward to specing mine early April. Will do it differently to the Lizard spec last year and steel brakes this time.

The intention was always to be a second batch..However they've run into problems getting the RS engine to pass the stringent WLTP rules..Last i heard that incorporating the GPF in the Catalytic converter(a la 992) has not worked with the NASP RS engine .The reason for this i think is in the absence of Turbos not enough heat is generated to burn off the soot particulates.Porsche are now trying a different 3 way CC with separate GPF however this still hasn't been tested or approved for WLTP.
The issue is passing the test and retaining power which is proving very problematic.

I would suggest it’s in the OPC interest to tell you ‘no more’ of these cars when dealership group have used stocked.. helps firm up prices, right?

Believe what you will, but more cars are coming, challenges passing emissions is spinning you a line. Allocations will drop into dealers along with Speedster after Geneva show... so watch this space.

They are awesome machine, I did nearly 3,000 miles in my Lizard, but really it’s the WP model I wanted from day one, so that car is gone now and I await the WP replacement for summer trackdays - already have 4 Silverstone day booked!

The WP may well be standard revised spec. This could compensate for any GPF consequences. At a guess that would make the RRP circa £165k.
