991 gt3 exhaust bypass
Discussion
We have both the Sharkwerks (very popular choice) and UK made Milltek in stock. Have fitted and supplied many with great feedback on both options.
Have a look at ABP Motorsport on facebook for more images etc or search on here as been talked about many times.
Most of all - DO IT! It allows the glorious GT3 soundtrack across a much more licence friendly RPM range as opposed to just the top end.

Had the the Sharkwerks by pass supplied and fitted by ABP on my GT3 Gen 2 for 6,700 glorious miles. It really makes the car sound spectacular. I would highly rate the product and ABP. Ring and ask for Chris who is decent and helpful chap.
Funny you should say that!chrisABP said:

Its not that simple. The bolt heads are sandwiched between two sheets of metal as part of the back box construction. Even 1 of the 3 snapping on either side will render the seal between the cat pipe and teh box somewhat ineffective.
I know from experience. I put the SW bypass on my 991 GT3 (sounds lovely). When it came time to revert to the factory box for the extended warranty inspection I found one stud had snapped in the removal and on trying to re-fit the unit and bodge it for the warranty inspection another stud on the other side snapped from heat fatigue when torqued down! Total cost to replace was over 1500 GBP! Expensive lesson. When I went through the dealers back room looking for a suitable used replacement I found 3-4 more 991 GT3 back boxes other clients had replaced with bypass pipes over the years and all of them except one had snapped studs...
Ive bought a 991.2 GT3 now. Id love to buy another SW and fit. Bit gun shy tho.

Taffy66/911 R I’d be interested to know if you think the video in this Instagram post by JCR is representative of what your exhausts now sound like/the improvement over OEM. Obviously they are comparing a GT3 and an RS...
