I spec”d my 992 c4s on January 12th, was told it was March 5th build and should receive car early April 2019. As of yet still no confirmed date for the car and have been told it’s in production still ! Latest I’ve been told is end of may but don’t hold out much hope for that either. Anyone else got similar issues or perhaps an answer ?
Have you specced anything where it needs to go to Exclusive Manufaktur.... I had some lit cills on a car and it took ages ...

I can’t see how it could be in production for more than a few days. Maybe their system doesn’t give much info so that’s just the last they heard. The whole line would stop if they ran out of certain parts and there isn’t much storage space at the factory is they have cars built but not ready to ship.

Worth escalating a bit to see what’s going on.
Ask to see a screenshot of the computer screen that shows build progress. It has all the dates...started production etc. If they won’t give that to you escalate immediately!

Over and above the computer system your OPC Sales Exec should be liaising with Vehicle Planning at Porsche GB. They’re the people who deal with the factory on behalf of the OPC’s. The Sales Exec used to just forward the e-mails from the guy at Vehicle Planning....totally transparent....no reason why yours shouldn’t do the same!

My neighbour was expecting to be collecting his c2s convertible by end of this month. Told it'll be in the UK this week. Got a call on Friday, it had been written off in transit to the ferry!
Anyone else? What's the chances of this? I told him get back and start digging for answers. I'm guessing this should be onthe systems through the delivery process, and it would take a brave salesman to spin a yarn.

I was told the factory fitted PPF was most likely the cause of the delay with mine. Arrived at Sheerness last week so quite excited now.

My 4S coupe was originally due to complete build 28th March but due to ‘quality control issues’ was delayed until 18th April, then I was told the car was at Emden port awaiting shipping.
Roll on 4 weeks my car was still at the port, again quality control issues were quoted as the reason but with no actual detail on what the issue was.

It finally arrived at the dealer last Wednesday and delivery to me booked for Friday afternoon... Come Friday morning I receive an email informing me they are unable to deliver it due to it needing programming updates from Germany.

Needless to say i’m not best pleased although they have loaned me a Panamera Turbo in the interim. I’m now on holiday so won’t see my car for at least another week.

Poor show Porsche!

Interested to know why not PDCC? I’ve gone for ras as well as PDCC... picking up on Friday if all goes well.

The great reveal

Then home with a 50 mile detour, very happy with the car and the handling is not too far off the GT3, great turn in and feels super planted. Ride quality and tyre noise seems much better than I remembered from my 991.2.
