Wow.clap That's less than half what it would have cost if specced as cxx option from the factory.
I also cannot stress enough just how easy the install is too, guide....

That;s great news and the 0.3 Kg weight saving will lower the CoG and improve handling..biggrin

I have been lucky to have owned a few 91-RSs, agree these WP cars feel like something very special......

Good news - is it a full steering wheel swap?

No, same as 2RS, just the visual part, ie the front cover

I think you Barry will go down in history as the only RS Weissach owner who gets his Carbon fibre steering wheel before the actual car.biggrin

Lunch and afternoon tea sounds fine and a look at all special stitching options biggrin

My driving style is a bit anti sideways, slicks and wings cars don’t work to well once they start drifting but hey ho it’s not my car so bring it on!

As we had a rare sunny day yesterday went for my first long drive in the RS with my 16 year son..Its an absolute sublime car to drive even on public roads..Despite keeping to the running in protocol and not exceeding 4k revs its already apparent its noticeably quicker than my old 991.2GT3 PDK..I noticed it went i started overtaking Sunday afternoon dawdlers..Its much more than the paper spec 20PS would suggest IMHO.
Even the noise when it gets going is better than i expected after listening to all the scaremongering about the GPFs..However will likely put on a JCR bypass next year, insurance and warranty permitting..
I tried to upload some photos however i've experienced some technical issues when trying to upload on to Pistonheads. The pictures were taken by phone and show a file size of between 8-9 MB in size which i think is the reason as the limit is 2 MB on P'heads..Any technical help would be appreciated..If advice is forthcoming i suggest its given in the same manner as a school teacher would address a dim 6 year old..

ETA I love the aluminium look fuel cap..

Hi Taffy, can’t help you with the pics but the limit is 7k whilst running in so you can enjoy yourself a bit more than you are now!

JCR did a lot of testing today at silverstone and was very complimentary about the cars and how strong they are. Maybe AP’s comment about this being the engine to have wasn’t bks after all!

Shows how ignorant i am as i was merely copying the run in procedure on my GT3..7K up to 1000 miles sounds a lot more fun..I'd love to have been at SS today to see how JC is getting on with the new RS..
