I think that Dark green RS looks so much better with all the matt black plastic painted Piano Black..However not so much on my Black RS..Porsche should have included all the Carbon bits from the GT2 RS in the Weissach pack for the GT3 RS WP.
I'm replacing all the exterior plastic on mine with Techart Carbon fiber next year as i agree the horrible black plastic really jars with the WP car's Carbon roof, wing, bonnet and mirrors.
I like my new RS so much i intend keeping it for a long time..So i've got plans for it including replacing the plastic with CF, fitting an Antigravity Lithium battery and fit a JCR Titanium exhaust..Much more fun than playing the OPC's silly allocation games just to get the latest time and time again.
I agree, on a gloss black car these bits would look regular and probably not add much, carbon would be a much better fit for that. In the same time, too much carbon on bright colours doesn't look right, like full carbon bonnet on bright GT3 RS looks odd to me. The body colour stripe they have on the GT2 RS breaks it up perfectly and looks much better. Dark cars like the Brewster green GT3 RS we have here, black green or any other dark are fine with full carbon bonnet. I don't get why they can't have an option for a carbon or piano black trim pack? Seems crazy you can't spec that...

It looks good, I don't mind, but I honestly love the finish you get with PPF over decals. Makes them look 3D and so nice to touch RSVP911 said:
That is going to look epic - Love Oslo Blue - will look cock on with the gold wheels - enjoy
Cheers R, waiting for some better pics as out of the UK at the moment, was hoping it'll look pretty good although to be honest it does seem to look good in any colour. With your very experienced decal eye in mind, I was wondering about changing the black RS one down the side for gold ??

On second thoughts I think the black decal actually looks quite good :With your very experienced decal eye in mind, I was wondering about changing the black RS one down the side for gold ??

I love both Sandy's Oslo blue and the Brewster green equally..Both great choices for the lucky ones who got a PTS slot..I like the Gold rims however i also like the Platinum rims on the Green RS.I was having second thoughts on the Platinum wheels on my RS however when i saw it no regrets..I agree with you regarding leaving the side decals Black as too much Gold can be too in your face IMO..Personally i'm going through a preference for boring Black or Greys on all my current cars..

That looks stunning in Brewster Green. Reckon I need Brewster millions to buy it though! However I also prefer matt black to shiny. Not sure which goes better with the carbon, guess I'd have to see both in the metal.

I think this car looks great in any colour, wheels also seem to work in the different colours against most of the body colours pretty well.
To be honest I just couldn't choose a colour in the beginning, went through a phase of loving a different colour each day, then going off it the next day.
Really looking forward to seeing it now though and picking it up later next week. I'd have probably gone for the lighter gold wheels if it had been an option, but as we know it wasn't.

Yes, it's a tricky one... I think the Brewster green is perfect as we made it with all the bits glossy, and being a dark colour, the carbon bonnet blends in very nice! However I also prefer matt black to shiny. Not sure which goes better with the carbon, guess I'd have to see both in the metal.
On the yellow one, for example, we took all decals off and will re-apply on top of the PPF to keep them satin, as the satin parts look really good on that colour, so I don't think there is a definite recipe, each car looks different depending on the colour. Too much choice
Just before leaving outside in sun...
Driving back yesterday the 200miles from Silverstone, stuck in heavy traffic from door to door two things continue to surprise me ..Biggest surprise is how economical the RS GPF is when being forced to drive sensibly..I averaged 26.5 mpg overall and after the first 100 miles motorway part i saw over 28 mpg which i thought astonishing..
The ride quality continues to surprise me in how good it is and better than my old GT3..When i mentioned this to my instructor he put it down to two reasons..Firstly the lower unsprung weight of the combined PCCBs,Carbon fiber suspension and Mag wheels makes a big difference in ride quality. The second reason is Porsche are always developing the PASM dampers even through a model's life cycle and this end of the line second batch RS WP is the most finely developed of all the 991 GT3 RSs
