I’m sure the 600 LT is fantastic to drive but the problem right now is is it fantastic to own?

Probably fantastic to own.

Right up until the point you sell and realise what it cost you in depreciation.

If it is fantastic to own there is no need to sell it though
If I thought about the depreciation on my cars, I would probably feel faint and then sell them

I think Juno was also alluding to the slightly tarnished reputation of Mc dealers re warranty issues etc further eroding the pleasures of ownership.....

But why the never ending quest to save 40KGS on a road car,you won’t notice it on the road

If you want to save wright then:

Job done that’s about 685kg’s lighter than your 1250kgs Spyder and a very very different feel to anything road car wise, also a lot cheaper hehe

Horses for courses and all that!
But you cannot drive it on the road ! :-)

I I could say why buy the RS and not track it ? It’s a pretty pointless road car and the WP is all show no go, but you speced it, we do things things because we can :-)

I don’t track my cars these days and as I said can tell a good difference at > 40kg, at 80kg the feeling is 4x the effect of 40kg.

It depends on how much you pay for a great spec one. The one at Redline cars with Senna seats looks a great buy IMO.

How much lighter can they realistically make an RS though - even a 991 Cup weighs c 1,200kg (not sure if that is wet or dry). Also given they sell them all anyway, the need to do it (and reduce the margin per car) is probably not that great.
Well easy 50kg less than the current one with little to no effort.

Is every one not board to death with new cars and Porsche speel over a few grams !

The speedster is slower than a manual GT3, but has more power, so things don’t add up.

600lt will be a nice buy at £140k next month :-p

Exactly as you say track car for track work only and road car for road. The road car no matter how good will always be compromised on track. IMO you can’t beat a lightweight aero car for change of direction, braking and high speed cornering! But then again you do have to tow the bloody thing to the circuit compared to a road car!

It’s all pointless but so is breathing to a point yikes

Yes spot on and I have to say that most people will gulp at loosing a £100k on a car over a year or two, anyone other than the multi millionaires brigade are not kidding anyone that it’s not a problem yikes

Yep agree and whilst that car at Redline Taffy refers to looks great value especially with the spec it still scares me even though I don't mind losing a bit for the pleasure, so to speak.

Not quite £140k next week as 911R says but still going one way I.e. down down ££ very fast.

I have driven 600Lt on some very good roads that i know well. I thought it was one of the best cars i have driven for a long time. The turn in was so sharp and the steering feed back was amongst the very best.

But like you say i would not want to own one, the deprecation is just to much, and they are being discounted a lot.

£140k within a year I think, there is a nice 720s at £165k and my guess is these are on the way to levelling our at £130-140k.

Would you buy a 720 or 600LT if the 720 is markedly cheaper,after all specked the 720 is a £270/280k car new,I’m assuming £240k ish for 600LT

That’s because it’s a hot topic and I didn't start it,it’s NOT going away!

If 600LTS were £240/250k fully specked new, Sennas etc new which I believe is correct then they have already done £60k plus yikes
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

When others are £180-190k

Eg Good luck with this:

Bullst imho, with Senna, cars you see on sale now were 220k new at max, so atm they’re around 25sh under list.

Have you seen the 600LT option price list?
