Saw it in the wild at the Ring this weekend. Car was without any camo. That rear wing does look wild though...

As wild as a road car can legally get away with IMO

It should be obligatory to wear a full face helmet when driving this monstrosity on public roads.

I remember when the Senna was released, at the time i just could not believe what the hell Mclaren had done to it, but now, i suppose, after I've spent time with one the whole package just seems to have blended in, i am sure this will be the same with the 992 GT3RS. I really like the race cars vibe that they have gone for, extreme no messing aero

Wonder when they will actually release it? Rumour mill keeps saying August 12th then LA auto show, they haven’t even released reviews on SC yet

Recalling the spy pics of the rumoured/semi-confirmed ST, the latter does indeed look quite a bit like an RS Touring.

I’m sure it’s a beast on the track but imho that rear wing/scaffolding, for normal roads/driving, is extremely embarrassing.

I don’t really see it that way. I find some in your face supercar in - what I call - smarties paint more embarrassing than that - especially as something like an Aventador makes a lot of noise. This at least - in theory - is a guy who is using his truck Cr for more than just track days, so more power to him.
Overall I don’t find any car embarrassing as I think everybody should drive what they enjoy, but if we are splitting hairs, then this is on the right side of the line IMO

Embarrassing... really... It is a good job we live in a diverse world, where everyone can do and be what they like, it may be embarrassing for you so don't buy one, simple as that.

Well, I for one, think it's ace! If I had the money and if they'd sell me one, I'd be more than happy to leather it round the Ring and other tracks... driving

Bit geeky but this 992 GT3 RS has old-style door handles. Must be lighter to match the inside fabric door pulls like old RS.

Would you insure it on a track day at the ring?

GT3 ownership seems to becoming less and less appealing given insurance for a day for full value cover is 2.5k and it’s around £500 a day for 100k cover

The RS will be a premium… then of course add the MR pack as the suspension is always crap in comparison

Then the 992.2 will come out and prices for those will be through the roof for sure

Yes, I insure all my trackdays at the Ring though Mannings, it only takes a slip on someone else's fluids to ruin your day, seems silly not to.

We're only here once, life's for living, cars are for driving... thumbup

Mannings don’t cover the full value any longer, worth bearing that in mind if you weren’t already aware
