Went to see this one last year.....very nice condition, topside & underside.....he's had it in ages
I’ve just done an online MOT check...the MOT expired last August with advisories on the last test for front disks, track rods and rear lower suspension arm bushes highlighted.

As Marky911 said, the car first highlighted in the thread is a bit strong on figures, though pricing seems all over the place at the moment & aerokit equipped cars are considerably rarer.
When i had a peer underneath it was pretty rust free and had new arms, rods etc ....i think it had new discs as well.....don't think it had seen many salty winters.......i thought at the time it was a bit steep price wise.....the car belonged to a friend of the garage owner.

Interesting looking car, although many will be put off by the mods.

The paint looks a bit dull to me.

Not sure why there are no decent pictures of the interior and bucket seats as these should be a major selling point on this car.

Sure you can add up to 12 pictures and this add only has 10.

The fir green wrap explains why people struggled working out what colour it was!

Never liked the idea of buying a wrapped car.

Yeh, worth a watch for those considering a wrapped car. This chap (he's a Total 911 editor I believe), removed a wrap from his 996 recently, it didn't go so well..

The car had previously had at least a partial respray, causing most if not all the problems.

One badly painted panel needing redone is probably on the side of the best case scenario. I've seen wraps coming off revealing vandalism/keying on every panel.

I watched that 911guy video when it came out. Interested to see the end results and hopefully get an idea of cost. No intention of getting my car resprayed but last full respray I had done I sent them a rolling shell and it cost £2k.

Really nice car this! But then I'm bias..
As mentioned above it is wrapped 'Fir Green'. The spec list from factory is great! And all the service history is there
And with the Ohlins + 997 short shift additions it should be a lot of fun on road & track!

... Btw, I bought it! =D
My first Porsche!

(Please excuse the picture quality from my potato phone ha)

Congrats on the purchase, I am really liking that. Enjoy in good health

I think well sorted 996s especially with the Aerokit are criminally underrated. I had a 996 Turbo a few years back and it was an epic car!

You're getting off to a good start if that's your first Porsche.

Well Done

I'm daily driving in mine right now. Plenty of like minded owner operators on here if you know where to look.

Thanks all! smile

I'm really looking forward to picking the car up! Hopefully later in the week..

I'll then find chance to do a post with a bit of a write up of the car - plan is a road trip over to Germany ASAP to really get to know the car thumbup

Check the tyre pressures. Porsche recommended are ridiculously high. Most people run them lower.

Have fun

First time I have noticed the grey detailing added to the bottom of the car. I think I like that. One of my dislikes with the aero kit is how the side skirts look too stuck on as they protrude too much for me and the spats too look like an after thought. It all looks a bit max power body kit to me. But the grey detailing tones it down a bit. That's nice.

Yeah, this was a big plus point for me too!
It's more black, rather than grey (apologies - potato phone prob affecting the picture quality again no doubt) laugh
I very much like the way this line runs from low down at the front of the car, rising up along the bottom of the side skirts towards the back of the car to meet the line of the rear valance at the back - yes with the optional spats on too which I agree with you are made more subtle in that colour rather than being too stand outish
- Tells me someone must have spent some time thinking it through and getting these details right

Aarrgghh I can't wait to go and pick it up so I can see it again and drive it!! biggrindriving

Yes biggrin again - another big plus point for me and after that first moment I'd seen it in the flesh I just knew I wanted to have it!!
