I know I've been staring at her for 2 years! hehe

Theres a navy car at Hexagon which looks nice too. You should speak to JZM, Maxted Page and GT Classics as I'm sure they may have stuff in their in tray. GT classics have a white CS.

Pretty sure u can swap mobile.de to English

https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/search.html?col...
Me too re the yellow car - maybe we could share it.

Brilliant shout re the language : that’s really going to help.

Spoken to GT classics and JZM - the car at GT Classics is stripped out club sport - maybe a bit much for an old man like me smile
Buying a euro car I reckon we'd be better off waiting a year or two as £ should get stronger (I'm an optimist smile). As things stands they'll be looking for bargains here. I'd be happy to share the yellow car smile

Hi there looking to buy a well maintained, low (ish) mile 964RS LW, ideally LHD, only really want one in Yellow, Rubystone or Maritime Blue - please let me know if you know of any knocking about. I know about all the cars already advertised, I’m hoping someone has one tucked away somewhere - thanks , RSVP911
I am aware of a Maritime car that could become available shortly - speak to Jason at Paragon.

Thanks - I missed the Rubystone RS that had been for sale at Paragon by literally a day - apparently it had sat there for months & months on end - I think it was up at £k175. They mentioned the blue car but wanted > £k 200 which just didn’t make any sense based on the one that took them months to sell - maybe it’s a different one - I’ll call them , thanks

I really hope that you are right, however in the short term, I think the risk on on the downside should a no deal happen. This of course will also result in a new duty charge, which I guess is why I think it may be a good idea to do this b4 end of October; but in truth, no-one knows what will happen, least if all me.

Now I know you want to share the yellow TJS car I’ll buy it today - I’m happy to pay for all of it and we can simply share it ; just seemed like such a waste for one person smile

P.S Haven’t you already got a lovely yellow 911 ?

Just before you get disheartened, I actually signed up to this website in order to ask some questions during my search for a 964RS. Within (i'd say-it's a long time ago) 4 to 6 weeks I'd had PMs and posts about every car on the market and had a couple of people looking at cars on my behalf.

As time went on, I'd had PMs about cars coming up for sale and even after I'd bought I had word of buyers who would buy the car I'd bought once I wanted to move on.

So the good guys are out there, even after all this time. The shysters are still here mind you, even this weekend there has been some post trimming on a member who was caught out committing what would be considered fraud in any other sphere. But embrace the help you get on here, I did and it totally worked even up to the point where I actually had a little part time job inspecting cars for a couple of years for folk-great fun.
Thanks for the post - it’s a great story and really made me smile.

If it wasn’t for the potential Brexit price rise mentioned in my previous post, I’d just sit and wait very happily for the right car / deal - in truth this is probably the right course of action either way smile

Belongs to SWMBO. She exploring Porsche past but I do get to have the odd go in it when not overseas. I prefer the 964 shape personally. I agree £180k about the max and it needs to be a very very nice one for that money. When £ back up to 1.5 Euro we can buy the yellow one wink

Bought and sold my 964RS through Paul M and would definitely trust him to find you a decent car and not rip you off.

964 unrelated, but I am also thinking to buy something in the UK pre October as otherwise I might run the risk of not getting it out without additional cost (which would negate the potential saving thanks to FX).

Like a number of others on here I bought and sold my 964RS through Paul Mc at GT Classics. If I were in the market for another I wouldn’t look anywhere else. But I’m not, though I really wish I hadn’t sold it, it was a keeper described by Messers Sturdee and Spear when they saw it as the last virgin in the bordello. It still had the original bit of paper stuck in the footwell that as I recall contained the paint details from the bodyshop which bore no relation to sticker that subsequently finished up on the underside of the bonnet.

Just purely out of interest here is an extract from the email listing of cars that Paul was able to offer me in December 2006. I went for the Maritime 28k miles car. FX circa € 1.4 to £. Happy days

964 RS, LHD, Red, 2800 miles, totally NEW, 79,900 euro's
964 RS, LHD, Silver, 33,600 miles, accident free, never painted, perfect car, 2 owners, 60,000 euro's
964 RS, LHD, Maritime, 28,000 miles, accident free, extremely good, 2 owners, 60,000 euro's
964 RS, LHD, White, 30,000 miles, had some cosmetic paint work but no accidents, 57,900 euro's
964 RS, RHD, Signal Green, 35,000 miles, waiting on more details from the owner.
964 RS, LHD, Maritime Blue, 37,000 miles, full bolt in cage but can be removed, £37,500.

Good luck with the search.

That’s not helping - looks like they’ve quadrupled (and more) in price in 13 years ! smile

Thanks , unfortunately not - it’s not matching numbers (different gearbox apparently) and it has been re imported from Japan, making it very difficult to believe the 20,000 or so advertised miles (I’m not saying it isn’t that mileage, it’s just very hard to confirm this) . The pricing doesn’t reflect both things IMHO. As mentioned in my post, I know of all the cars currently advertised , I guess I’m looking for cars that aren’t currently for sale.

Thanks anywaysmile
What price should this be? Interested to know
