I’m half way through season 2 and can’t stop watching this complete tosh. All the reviews say it’s awsome. Am I alone in watching this cringe fest with no idea why? The dubbing is insane, the amount of times words seem to have been translated by someone unable to speak Spanish or English is bizarre. Half the dialogue is rendered nonsense. The plot holes are up there with Tom and Jerry. The characters act as professional as 5 year olds in a supermarket temper tantrum. No one gets killed despite guns getting pointed at people every other scene. And we’ve just had the whole scrap of paper up the chimney bit......do what????? Even if the tech existed to do ANYTHING with that scrap, so what? It was a 35 year old picture that meant nothing!!!!! And the sing songs are as welcome as they are in a Tolkien novel. Addictive, like bad crack.

laugh it’s equally terrible and great. Season 3 is just the same. I like it, but don’t know why.

Without doubt the worst bit of the dubbing:

Netflix defaulted to dubbed for me, it wasn't til near end of series 1 my mate mentioned Spanish audio. I tried it but quickly went back to dubbed as thats how I knew it.

Some elements of the plot and acting are laughable but it is enjoyable tv.

If I come across anything dubbed I immediately start shaking and vomiting. Weird how tolerance for it differs so radically from country to country. In some it's the norm and unavoidable.

The ultimate is Russian stuff where they turn down the original soundtrack and one Russian speaker repeats all the lines with all the enthusiasm and passion of an automated flood warning.

I've really enjoyed all 3 series, I suspect your error was watching it dubbed.

I'd imagine even something as great as Gomorrah would be awful dubbed

WHAT THE HELL am i doing? We are half way into season 2 and I'm still watching this nonsense!!!!

spoilers below:

- Tokyo's rescue??? WTF? Is she not the most guarded prisoner in all of spain? Yet they transport her with no coms and via a deserted road?

Why does no one die???? It's like the A Team every week

Why do people keep standing too close while holding handguns

She breaks INTO the bank????

The shaky cam stuff is doing my head in

If they spend more than £500 per episode on production I'm staggered

Does SPain not have any real actors? Wrtters? Technical consultants? People that have made a TV show before?

I'm hooked

I’ve recently starting watching ‘Scorpion’ on Netflix, it makes Heist seem Oscar worthy!

I've just finished season 2 of Money Heist, really liked it. But subtitles all the way. I can't be doing with dubbed.

I have watched all of S3, it just gets further far fetched. Entertaining though.

I stalled midway through S1 but as I am nearing the end of Brigande Costa Del Sol I may try again.

Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao !

I'm on part 2, episode 9. Just brilliant ! Great characters, interesting dubbing, excellent plot line/s... I'm hooked.

Though I'm starting to think the gun battles are probably not that realistic. smile
