That price really shows how much the overs market has cooled , that would have been over £400k a few years back. What did the 991R go for when first flipped £500k?

Had I gotten an allocation, I had skipped Heritage pack too. To my eyes it looks odd on a modern car. I'd have gone the complete opposite route by having it in Lava

I agree 100%..The Romans Speedster cost £219K including the £2k tax..Its pretty much how i'd have specced it and looks all the better without the Heritage pack..I prefer the standard carbon interior and Black leather, both of which you lose with the Heritage pack.As overs go this seems more realistically priced and i see it being sold before Xmas..
Still prefer the RS with Weissach pack though..!

I think R’s were over £500k for the first few car as was a the GT2 RS. As you say massive difference.

I’ll be honest I think that spec looks a little dull on a car like that...you can order any car in silver with black seats ! From what I was told they withdrew the heritage pack as an option quite quickly so unless you got one of the first allocations you couldn’t order it.

Will be interesting to see how these play out ... I believe this is the first physical RHD to come up for sale ... I love them and very tempted, however I am not convinced the market has found a level on these as yet ... I may of course be proven very wrong ...

Autocar have just released a video review

https://youtu.be/KbaHsG2qQX0

He talks about the chassis stiffness which reminded of what a PEC instructor said to me a couple of weeks ago. The instructors there reckon it’s stiffer than the GT3 coupe...to the extent that one of the instructors managed to spin the one they have in the wet at pretty slow speeds. Chassis that stiff equals serious lack of grip on the wrong kind of corner in the wet apparently.

A modern 911 on road springs, shockers and tyres will not overcome the torsional rigidity of it’s chassis. Only when you load it to the level of a race car will that possibly happen. My 964 is nowhere near as rigid as any GT 911 and even with The very high spring and shock rates that I have chosen chassis flex is not a factor even on the track. It’s been a long time since chassis flex was a real issue with any 911. Far more likely that the spring rates and PASM function on the speedster causing the difference in handling.

Not sure if correct or not, but I was told just less than the 991-R which was 74 cars. Seems about right based on amount OPCs received. Would have thought this can be checked on the DVLA site some point soon.

A fair few more than 911Rs is my guess..Porsche built nearly twice as many Speedsters compared to 911Rs..My OPC in Cardiff got three Speedsters however only managed to get one 911R..

I know what you mean about total Nos built. But the Speedster also had to go into emerging markets that were not on line back in 16. Some Markets over in Asia never got any Speedsters, hence the demand for Heritage pack cars in RHD Asia markets. Like I said this should be able to be checked on the DVLA how many Reg site soon.

Private one on Autotrader for £400k with Heritage package looks a bit optimistic.

It's only got half the miles of the one at £300k so worth every penny...

JZM car has disappeared from their website. Not sold me thinks as they normally keep them up there as Reserved and I am sure they would be on social media saying it had sold.

It would be nice to think its because Porsche have done the right thing.....
