I did initially think it was expensive at list, but then the other 4.0 NA 911s were to cheap at list, hence the market correcting them to the upside when launched. A lot of work has gone into the speedster with its roof etc and the way it works. In my opinion list it seems about right, no doubt the exclusivity and very low UK RHDs Nos is what driving market prices.

Still £225k with a bit of spec hell of a lot of money for a 911. Very interested to see list price for next turbo s cab which looks like some car. Would not be surprised at £200k list!JulierPass said:
I know what you mean about silver. Seems a real waste on a GT car. I opted for Lava. I know of a Miami uk car but I believe the rest are silver, black or red. I’ve been informed that there are 61 c16 cars.
Had I gotten an allocation but no PTS, that would have been my choice

I think a Speedster at £300k is a better buy than some of these PTS Weissach GT3 RS’s which seem to have been selling for around £240k. Long term that gap widens IMHO. Cheib said:

Think when the 992-GT3 comes out prices will soften on the 3RS WP Cars a bit. If its got the same Gen 3 engine and in the 992 Chassis (So good), it should be a great driving car, even the 992 C2S Cab is a great driving fun car. Wonder how many will go Touring version should the option be available this time round?IMI A said:

Hope it comes out before any if at all import duty comes it, I never had a cab in the 991s Turbos what were they around 160kish? Had so much fun at V-max in the Trubos.APOLO1 said:

Touring will have massive uptake I am sure if it’s available for the whole run. 991.2 still fetching strong money and don’t hang around Yellow491 said:
Two very differant cars, sadly a speedster was all about a small lightweight car that many got raced and race car specials, sadly the later speedster are huge tubs with no real purpose, save loads and buy a cab!I am sure they are a great cal cruiser though
you could say that same line about a GT3 no ?a GT3 was all about a small lightweight car that many got tracked, sadly the lastest Touring are huge tubs with no real purpose, am sure they are a great GT cruiser though etc

Yeah... CXX is backed up at the mo. I think there are lots of cars waiting to be worked on.
A good friend of mine is taking delivery of his mid-Feb so will be registered 1st March. One of the last and will be in Irish Green with plenty of CXX options which delayed it months.Singh911 said:
Bias aside, to my eyes the Spyder looks a whole lot better balanced than the speedster.
That's because it is. The Speedster is based on a 2+2 architecture so looks very stretched for a 2 seater compared to the Spyder which was always a pure 2 seat sports car from the get go Plus the rear end of the Spyder has far fewer shut lines which really look quite messy on the Speedster imo

Be interesting to know which is the better drivers car for road use ? Plus the rear end of the Spyder has far fewer shut lines which really look quite messy on the Speedster imo

Given the 992 is not overly inspiring at regular road speeds, there is an even stronger case for the next TouringGassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
