I’d actually preferred 4 way comforts in hindsight.
Agree wIth this.I’ve done my time in assorted ‘buckets’, inc the ‘folding’ on the Touring.
If you are buying to use regularly on the UK’s deteriorating, congested, regulated roads, the sports seats are much more user friendly, with a greater range of adjustment, IMO.

I wouldn’t bank on 991.2 prices coming down. I know that the right spec cars are selling for £180k at the moment. 992 wont affect price of 991 as you won’t be able to get one.
I would agree all the tourings which have been for sale at my OPC have either sold before being advertised or sold quickly. Nice low mileage tourings with a nice usable spec seem to still be 170k to 180k retail. To expensive for me as a daily but I would imagine it would make a very usable car with fully adjustable sofa seats.
I think these tourings will always command good money, if they launch a 992 touring I can see it being vary popular if bought at list price.
Sadly ..... this is the paradox of a touring once you put a few miles on it , I mean actually enjoy it ..... it loses value . What is the point of. that ????
As an older long time Porsche driver the new generation makes no sense ....
Anyway the 992 Touring will all be specced as per PH guidelines and not used , let alone on track .

Agree, but some people say they find buckets comfortable and or they feel it makes the car feel more special which is fair enough although not something I see , but if it makes them happy then good.I’ve done my time in assorted ‘buckets’, inc the ‘folding’ on the Touring.

Obviously it depends on your physique, being a midget I can't drive long distances with anything else now. As always vive la difference!
this, buckets are SOFTER to SIT on that's a fact.
the Foldings are super soft to sit in so no numb bum on long trips.
Porsche sports seats are quite hard I find. you can adjust them but that don't make them soft to sit on !!!!
Recaro poles again super nice to sit in, my other half fav seats , she falls asleep In the Recaro Poles.
yes a little more hassle getting in and out but so so much more nicer to be in once in.
Did the ring to Leicester in one go, no issue straight drive back.
and just did a 2k miles hoon over only 3 days last August, big long seat time.
I go in others people cars get pins and needles in my bum after 2 hours again my 991 GTS seats were rock hard in feel to me over all my other cars.
All 4 of my current cars have either Folding Porsche buckets or Recaro buckets. I really hate the porsche DFS chairs way way too firm for my bum.

The problem many are faced with is they can’t use them as they can’t stomach the depreciation, makes very little sense to me to buy a new car and not use it. As an older long time Porsche driver the new generation makes no sense ....

But hay each to their own.
Imo cars are for driving
I don’t understand why the amount of miles on a Touring really matters. Clearly it does, at the moment. But, with only 47 examples, and presumably more and more people buying these to drive as prices have softened from the height of the overs, mileage will only go up on these.
Are people really now buying these to sit in storage, hoping it’s going to appreciate in value? Because I don’t think that is going to happen. And surely anyone who bought at list to flip, got out of theirs a long time ago. Similarly, anyone who bought at crazy overs as an investment, are out too, if they’ve got any sense?
I bought mine to drive. Granted, it’s been sat in storage since December, but I expect to put at least 5k miles on it this year.
It’d be interesting to hear from any other Touring owners, who have bought at around the £170k mark over the last three months, what are your intentions for the car?

Just bought one albeit LHD, will use it for the work commute and UK and EU track days. Not interested in keeping an eye on the mileage, life's way to short! Are people really now buying these to sit in storage, hoping it’s going to appreciate in value? I chose the ‘touring pack’ option for my GT3 from new (together with pccbs, buckets, lift, etc) as the low key look appeals to me, and i knew it would make marginal if any performance difference. Done 4k miles now (not enough time) but that includes Spa, Nordschiefe, Silverstone trackdays and road trip to Le Mans. Very fine 911 and don’t have any plans to sell, will continue to use and enjoy. Don’t even think about consequence to mileage, why would i ?Are people really now buying these to sit in storage, hoping it’s going to appreciate in value?
