Just bought one albeit LHD, will use it for the work commute and UK and EU track days. Not interested in keeping an eye on the mileage, life's way to short!
Great minds! Just done the same. Black, PCCB, lift, folding, etc and just a smidge over 6k km to make the VAT easy. Having it shipped back from Germany, not so much to save miles but this is hardly the weather for a Euro trip on Cup tyres. Will drop you a pm on a specific point.Edited by 993rsr on Wednesday 19th February 08:22

Looks great in Flat Black and the silver BBS Mags so classy and makes a nice change from the recent craze for Gold and Black rims..My RS is also Flat Black which looks awesome when clean however hard work..I'm thinking of taking mine to Litchfield to have their latest Paint protection spray.Edited by 993rsr on Wednesday 19th February 08:22

Boys are on the game ...... what is LHD ballpark £ , back to the 64 RS days of over to Germany to get cars to drive
Hunter, I can only speak from my own experience but have managed to deal at around 10% behind German list with both sides happy with the figures. Spec obviously pushes list up and I had some red lines for what is to be mainly a road car. PCCB, lift, folding and LED were essential to me. Much of the rest is just shiny nice to have baubles of which my car has its fair share. The only exception to that may be PCCB where most German cars seem to have steel and I didn’t sense much of a premium being attached to the ceramics. Also a number of nice cars have comfort seats which are not for me but then neither are the 918 buckets. All of which reduces the pool to fish in. One good feature is that almost all have 082, the 90l tank. I paid for a 111 point in Germany mainly to make sure it was clean for overrevs. I’ve left collecting the car and dealing with registration etc to people who know what they are doing so have added £4k to get the car from Germany, registered OTR taxed for a year including covered transport. Taking all costs into consideration I reckon I have paid around £25k less than a comparable RHD C16 car that was on the market very recently. Win win for me as I like LHD. lowndes said:

Is it replacing the GT Silver 991.2GT3 PDK or are you going to run the Touring alongside..Interesting to hear how you find the differences between the two cars as it seems to have become a highly sensitive topic..!Taffy66 said:

Taffy, the .2GT3 was worn out as it had done 10k miles and had to go. RPM sold it for me. Good guys there. A more pertinent question is is there still a place for the 7.2 CS as the Touring nicely bridges the gap between 997 and 991 GT3s. Should perhaps point out the the 991.2 was RHD PDK and the 7.2 is LHD.Edited by lowndes on Wednesday 19th February 15:52

That makes sense..LHD suits you better than a RHD as you spend a lot of time driving in Europe..I'd love to run a Touring along my RS WP however having both would require me to sell my beloved 458 which i can't do..Let us know how your Touring compared to your GT3 PDK as it might sway me if i get offered a 992 GT3..lowndes said:

Bought mine in September with 1.6k on clock. Agate, was on silver wheels but I changed to black. Now on 4K miles and bought it to use on nice days as a daily or weekends for fun. Got 918’s and prob would have preferred comfort seats but that said, totally delighted with the whole thing.
Feel I can park in the car park at work without standing out like a sore thumb (didn’t feel I could ever take the Scuderia to work). Passes under the radar with most people not giving it a second glance.
