I religiously warm my car up (oil) temp before extending it but the warmer it gets the smoother the bottom end - around town when cold I find it a bit lumpy.

Is this a case of TADT sir or is there something amiss?

Don't recognise the problem but I've only had mine a few days...

Should be nice & smooth. What do you mean by lumpy? Rough idle or uneven accelleration?
My 991.2 S is not exactly as smooth as an S-class Mercedes & there will be a few vibrations when started, but it is definitely not 'lumpy'.

Bit stuttery until it warms up, little bit jerky .... not hugely so but markedly different to how she drives when warm.

Are these known for coil pack issues or am I imagining that/does it relate to earlier models?

I guess coils can go randomly just like any other car. When mine was serviced in January this year the OPC replaced 2 coils that appeared cracked. I can't say I noticed a difference but maybe they hadn't failed at that point. Probably worth checking though. Could also be an O2 or coolant sensor?
