Still in progress by the looks of things, but I'm not registered for the Live Online service so can't see it unfold in real time.

Auction now ended, and the car no longer appears in the search. However, from what I can gather BCA don't release sale details, so you have to have been in the live sale to know how much the lots sold for. Shame.

Grade 2 stock at BCA, screw even bidding on it. must have a story on that car, no one sells tier one CS GT3 at auction

Possibly, but OPC's will punt these through auction if, for example, they have a lot of aftermarket parts fitted (suspension, LWFW, exhaust, carbon trim etc.) as the costs then become prohibitive to return the car to the approved completely standard condition. I have first hand experience of this exact scenario applying to a car that was initially marketed as an approved vehicle, but was later removed from sale, and passed through BCA as it was deemed financially beneficial to do so in light of the modifications which had been done to the car (which were not apparent until it went through the workshop). The car was cosmetically spotless, drove great, and the modifications were upgrades in my view.

Must admit that the description in this instance regarding dents/scratches would temper my enthusiasm somewhat.

I have scanned through the his thread and I can’t see any mention of the white 997.1 that’s for sale at Octane Collection. Does anyone know anything about this car. Looks nice to me.

I looked but big service gaps put me off.

Not sure if I’m reading it right, but from the thread RC1 posted, the second to last post, was the ex-owner suggesting that the car had been clocked?

Yes, I see what you mean. Still, it’s only around 5k miles between services. It’s just spent a lot of time sitting around not doing a lot !

Difficult to be sure, but from reading that it sounds like a tongue-in-cheek statement. Too light-hearted for it to be a serious, literal comment. The advert they were referring to probably rounded the mileage down, or had a typo or something along those lines. After just 4 months of ownership the mileage couldn't have been astronomical to start with.

This one seems to be slowly dropping in price, from memory it was up for £74k a month ago.

Anybody been to see it, know the history?

Nice colour, even the non-standard wheel colour too, but a Clubsport without a roll cage is odd. You can clearly see it had the cage at some point, but it's not fitted, so it's an odd spec and not being sold by a Porsche OPC or known indie.

All that said, could be a very decent motor.

I would want to know the whereabouts of the cage (if I wanted a CS). From the photo's, the evidence would suggest it once had one fitted.

given how long they have had it i expect it will be turned over to trade soon

it might be worth a call and if the price is right who knows... play a long game and find a genuine cage on ebay.de one day...

Isn't Sytner Select effectively where things get traded to?!

Or do you mean auction, which is possibly where they got it from?

Yes it’s stock which they can’t put through their franchises due to condition or service history.
