Interesting too that he mentions at around 10:45 that the rear wing is ‘camouflaged’ and the production version will look much better.

I'm willing to bet that when we see the final undisguised GT3 we're all going to want one. Quite simply Porsche don't go backwards whilst AP is the boss. I like the fact the effort they've gone to make it weigh the same 1430KG as the 991.2GT3. This is particularly impressive when the 992S PDK has bloated to 1515Kg.
CF bonnet, bigger brakes, wheels, tyres etc will probably reflect in a substantial hike in list price.

I thought we might see shark blue tonight.

A few more sleeps then before the real one.
Seems it will be more than we expect money wise, it's a RS with less drag and double wishbone front end with a RS beating time to match.

Seems he was very happy we all called it ugly and it will be stunning :-)
That’s the touring option gone to pot again lol

I think the cost is largely irrelevant as they’ll limit supply and getting one will be near impossible........

Looks great, although not sure about the blue pinstripe!

That guy! Got to love AP! Said a few times ‘Next Level’ which means as I said loads of times it will more than likely match 991.2 GT3RS ring time what with less drag!

Prepare fir the bun fight to commence! God I love a GT release! Bring it on AP we are waiting!!!

This is the key exciting thing for me.

How do they sort the suspension pickup points I wonder. And will the damper still bolt into the old strut towers or perhaps sit between the wishbones in a more traditional layout. Who’s seen in an RSR to know?

If rumours are correct, RS is around 240k, without WP.

GT3 - take a guess , 190k.

Blistering around the ring apparently.

Inflation blended with price hike. I think the touring in subtle colour will be lovely. Having said that I'd still take the speed yellow 996 GT3 with 20k miles in the classifieds wink

Sounds very impressive.

I’m sure a couple of poster on here will now be regretting what they said about it being over weight and not as great as the 991.2 gt3!

Like many have said, Porsche don’t have a habit of go backwards with car technology.

Hope there's an option to spec rear seats on the Touring this time, would be the ultimate daily with these.

Don’t think they will hike prices substantially - 991 was 152k vs a 488 at 200k and the new 992 Turbo S at 216k (non S 190k) - getting too close to a Ferrari and the Turbo flagship probably won’t happen (might well adjust UK prices to the rest of Europe though)

I would imagine that the chasis will be a modification to the existing 992 chasis as opposed to a complete front end re-design. If so the damper will locate in the same place.

Its good to see a 911 finally getting a double wishbone front end - although it probably wont make any descernable difference on the road. Despite what we all are probably about to read in the motoring press

Yes, it's quite low key really isn't it? If you saw the place you'd be forgiven for not knowing it was 'factory' owned. It sounds like, until, now, it's been a bit secret.

Also, it seems clear thaty AP read the forums on here about the rear PU (lack of) styling. hehe

circa 12-15k over 991.2 base price , plus potential 10% brexit charge on top of that!
