My ears pricked up when the guy mentioned an RS in PTS San Marino Blue in the P Museum. Stunning BMW colour that I had on my M3CS, the metalic changes in all light and liquid when its wet.Searched and found this .2 GT3 painted in it, graphite wheels would suit it better imo.

Supposedly only one painted in this colour and is in the US.

Freeze the vid at the beginning to see the colour pop in the sun

That looks very good
I quite like it with that wheel color

I wouldn’t say Porsche do zero advertising and I definitely wouldn’t say Rolex do zero advertising, they sponsor a hell of a lot of sporting events across the world!

In my book cars are for driving and enjoying, making a little tax free money is an added bonus, but shouldn’t be the driving force to buying a drivers car.
?

Do you ever post about driving and enjoying cars? I only seem to recall posts about values.
I drive and use two out of my current three cars and use my two motor bikes as well. Enduro bike is having a good airing now we are aloud back out and the weather perfect for it 👍

I use the cars daily, so my drives aren’t spectacular drives through Europe, so I’m not sure what I could post about my driving if I’m being honest. The only two recent driving events were, a final fair well last drive of my cerb before the new owner had it collected, or curbing the rear wheel again of the 991 🤣 not that exciting driving. But I enjoy jumping into any car after a hard days work as it puts a smile on my face come rain or shine.

I’m no driving good, nor a person who knows about racing and setting up a gt cars for track so i can’t post about that. But I certainly enjoy the technical/ engineering posts which seem to be thin on the ground. Nothing like the old posts we used to get.

I’m just a old fashioned car nut who appreciates engineering and enjoys motoring in general. I’m certainly not a car investor or flipper who’s in it for profit, or to say I own the greatest, best spec car available. Unlike others.

That front end with the new vents up fronts looks epic, and that rear spoiler (now finished) does not look out of place at all.

There’s going to be a bun fight over these
According to OPC's, the same old names will not get them.
Sounds like you've had a positive conversation K ! Fingers crossed for you.

My OPC said the same about the last GT3 which in my case came to fruition as it was the first GT car I'd got an allocation for. I think part of that is numbers of allocations the OPC got ..there were over 600 cars last time so on average each OPC got 15 or more cars. I'd expect that to be a minimum this time.

I reckon these will go above 600. Why not, they know they will shift everyone of them.

White is going to look nice on this, Lava too wink

Spot on Cheib, Porsche aren’t daft. The uk will hopefully see high numbers, which should allow the people who really want one to order one.

The 718 gt4 was / is more freely available, no reason for this not to be the same.

I watched CH video again yesterday, that front end is stunning.

Everyone who genuinely wants one and places a £10K deposit should be allowed to get one, no ifs or buts.!
I think it looks great especially in that Blue. Right now i don't know if i like it enough to swap my RS WP for one. The front double wishbone and new Shark blue is what sells it to me.

Porsche are great at keep interest high for the entire duration of production. My guess is that it will follow the usual route: very limited amount of cars in the first batch. A couple more cars that come in over the winter. A larger batch for spring / summer 22 and then for 23 basically anyone who is still interested will get one (and made to believe it is the last one available).

You need a change from white like me! Still looks the dogs b though and will always be a favourite imo.

Porsche def need a better range of colours than they offered on the last few GT cars. That blue isn't my bag but does look good as a launch colour.

I think these will be reasonably freely available after a time, like the 718 GT4/Spyder. However Porsche might take a similar approach and hike the price substantially to reflect market values.

I don't have a 991.2 GT3/RS but if I did, I do not think I would swap it for a 992. The sound won't be a match for the pre-OPF cars

you cannot get a 718 Spyder though, very very hard.

Looks like Porsche have surprised everyone yet again, I think it's great that the GT department is allowed to stay significantly apart from the mainstream models, bit like Toyota.

I'll be sticking with my 991.2 as I wouldn't be able to afford to change, wouldn't get an allocation anyway and it's already far too competent for me to explore to anything approaching its capabilities, but at the same time is still huge fun on track as it is. And I prefer the 1.2 wheels and cup-holders. (But quite fancy the new techy dash)

Very much looking forward to seeing them in the flesh and the video's from the usual suspects.

I think I might take the cage out of mine, add some dynamat and a drivers folding bucket then spend the money next year on trips to Spa (cancelled twice this year) and scaring myself at Silverstone.

So it's just the car in the videos is PDK with the shift lever re-designed to look like a manual shift lever?

Yep looks like it. Not sure I like it, couldn't they have just re-used the old PDK lever?
