Would anyone pay more for an early flipped 992-GT3 than they could pick up a 991.2 GT3RS ?
If they do they're mad . A GT3 is a GT3 but an RS is an RS smokin. No comparison IMO. The RS is much better looking, faster and lighter. I would always buy a nice 991.2GT3 RS over the 992GT3 at the same money and that goes for the standard non Weissach version !

Unless you want a manual
Good point.

Many have said to me they actually prefer the look of the GT3

And in the real world, RS no faster.

For 95% of drivers the RS is probably no faster on the track.

I remember Porsche making a big deal that the 997.1 RS was 4 seconds quicker round the 'Ring than the standard GT3 but that was with Mr W Rohrl behind the wheel.

Still same as what it was on my 18 Pastel Orange Targa, just Under 7k. Not to bad compared to what others charge Imo.
It's significantly higher than most of the other German car manufacturers. Audi charge £2400 to £3900 depending on model and that includes all the costs of approving a new colour - it is true PTS and much more user friendly and extensive than the Porsche programme, which is not really PTS at all. Plus there is no allocation limit and it only adds a few weeks to delivery times. BMW charge less than £5k for their individual programme.

Besides 0-60 I read GT3 is faster round the ring, faster top speed and lighter ?!

Regardless of marketing tactics and the looks, I am very excited to see this car, read/ watch reviews, hopefully drive one. It might not be a looker but I am betting it will be a cracker to drive. If we want looks, there are so many other models from the 911 range which are absolute stunners. The forthcoming Touring might add to them as it is probably be a car Porsche will position as a less track focused proposition with more pleasing looks for those who don’t like the GT3.
Having been lucky to own many of the 991 cars from the first and second gen including some GT... I am excited about the GT3.

I had in mind what the likes of Ferrari and Mac charge for their special paints. But you are right I had forgot about what BMW charge, they have some great colours. I know what you mean about the current PTS colours, but over the years they have come out with some great shades. My Fav is Sapphire Yellow, it was only available on the Gen 2 991 Turbo S for a short time. Yet to make its way into the PTS list.

Wonder why it is BMW and Audi can easily manufacturer a bespoke colour car but Porsche’s factory has to apparently make them in batches every six months or so. We’ve ordered one PTS car in the past spec had to be locked months in advance especially for anything painted in the colour.

Agreed! Have black magnesium on my 991.2 3RS and it is really perfect in real life!

Although I have been saying if I would have the new GT3 in black and silver GT inside and black callipers and the Exclusive rear tail light... the GT3 RS in green is one of the most beautiful and exciting cars I have ever owned. And although I believe 911 owners are not about Head turning, when I drive in town with my son, it always attracts looks and positive response.
How about the GT3 sticker? Albeit then it looks almost too much you are trying to replicate an RS!

Have a white 991.2 GT3 and I never have put stickers on it. Tend to keep them clean.

Would look cool on the Python 992, the side door one in black.

Black in one of these would look great as well.

Also had nothing back but positive feedback when I am out, which has surprised me.

I don't think the wait is to long on PTS, provided its ordered in the available Window, I had "Choc Box Blue" on a 330D BMW Saloon once that took around an 6-8 weeks from what I recall.

It did look good and like you say also received a lot of positive comments. But when it came to sell it took a while. Don't forget some of these PTS colours look great, but they are very personal.
