This little project appears to be going very well indeed. You must be loving the journey!

This looks fantastic, would you mind sharing who did it? pricey?
We sorted the trimming of these bits - I have a couple of different people for trimming depending on what the project is. It's surprisingly expensive to do and is very fiddly and time consuming. As a general guide all of the bits Marcus has shows were retrimmed in a very good quality alcantara and finished with dark grey stitching and laser etching. Total cost was circa £1000

Do your guys do commercial engine rebuilds or are you a special case? Would be interested to know what they charge for a 3.9 rebuild.
It can vary a little but depending on the general health of your engine but a full 3.9 build including use of proper Porsche parts, new oil pumps, deep sump kit uprated throttle body, plenum etc is just under £10k although there are a couple of options.

The actual 3.9 conversion is to be fair quite a big chunk due to the machining of the liners and then machining the cases and fitting the liners along with a matched set of new forged pistons.

We are currently in the process of configuring our engine dyno to bench test the 997 engine prior to installation but for efficiency the engine for this project will be installed in the car and then run in on the dyno, power checked and signed off with 12 months warranty.

Thanks Stephen. Can you do the 3.9 conversion from a 3.6 as well as a 3.8 or just the 3.8?

Between the 3.6/3.8/3.9 it's just the bore diameter that changes, so taking a 3.6 or a 3.8 to 3.9 is basically the same thing. The heads and cams are the same for the 3.6 and the 3.8 IIRC.

You did exactly what I have in mind with the front for years. Take out the middle part in the two air openings. Could you post a more detailed photo of the front. This looks spot on!

Have you ever looked at Tiptronic front bumpers? They all have the center opening removed for the third rad.

Also, search for "997 center rad" installation to see tips on how to cut the specific part out.

As do GT3's. But I'm talking about the two struts in front of the radiators.

You're making quick progress.

Really not sure on those wheels, I think it looks better on the silver ones you had on when it was freshly painted.

Behave yourself. Worse wheels ever be seen from Porsche. Anything is better than those turds.
