So discussion seems to have fizzled out on the 992. Has everyone lost interest already?
I think it’s more a factor that only something like 100 cars so far have been confirmed for the UK (based on 2 or 3 per OPC). With 991.2 even the plebs at the back of the queue like me already had a good idea they were getting a car....so there were 600 people out there who wanted to discuss their new toy. That and there’s much less “new” about this car to talk about. It is all about the chassis and aero....drivetrain is the same etc. When people start getting cars I am sure there will be lots to talk about. Will be fascinated to hear what people think of it on UK roads.
Agreed, even if I wanted one I doubt I'd be able to get one based on the extremely limited supply this time round.
Despite my criticisms I'm still mega interested in the 992 - much more than anything else new or forthcoming I have to say. It is a GT3 afterall. I'm particularly curious what they will do with the Touring.
Sorry, wrong thread

No wing, they will paint the front properly and it’ll have softer suspension and no rear seats. Sorry, wrong thread
Personally I always thought it would have made sense to offer PDK as due to its understated looks it makes an awesome daily....which for a lot of people would mean PDK would be the better choice. But I suppose the 991.2 GT3 Touring was about taking the heat out of 911 R prices.

Haha , now wonder in the UK no one gets to driving them .... spend to much time looking at the stitching .....coffee and machine events ..
Believe it or not, some OPC sales reps get pissed off when guys return for the next new shiny GT3, showing silly low miles on the one they have. They are like, why do you want another one, you haven't used the one you have

Haha yes although its not as big a faux pas as having standard black belts instead of red. :
Red with steel brakes.Yellow with PCCBs.
I don't make the rules up, that's just the way it is. Without rules, where would we be?

I respectfully disagree - yellow exterior with full yellow stitching interior, but red steels to match the in-bumper rear reflectors. For proper contrast, natch, given that PCCB calipers don't match Racing Yellow as they're more Speed Yellow Yellow with PCCBs.
