smilesmile must say I always thought that about Crayon while wondering how Porsche justify charging £2K extra!

Went to park in my usual spot at the gym this morning and someone from my spin class was in it. I mean that was fine but she was in a boxfresh Turbo S haha, raging!

The privacy glass isn't actually as dark in reality, unless there is no direct sunlight. I have it on mine and had concerns it may have looked too dark, but am happy with it now. I wanted it so people can't see into the car, whether thats because I have a young child in there, or because I have shopping/golf clubs on the back seating area.

For those that think its too dark you can get clear glass and have it retrospectively tinted if you wanted to. Each to thier own.
If someone was actively looking into cars, surely they'd see the clubs from the other windows? I don't think privacy glass is a deterrent from theft.
Who is leaving a young child in a car unattended, nobody. I am not sure your scenarios are valid. But I agree with retrospectively getting them tinted, if one must, as then it can be done more universally - as it stands, just that rear glass makes it look like the love child of a 911 and a transit van.

Did you park her in so that she had to get in her yoga pants through the passenger window? 😜

Is it normal for the drivers seat to creak? Mine is doing this as I get in and out or if I move around.

Asked the dealer for an update on mine yesterday - build completion is expected on 13th Jan and he's said it should be around 3 weeks from then to arrive at the dealer.

So, looking like early Feb delivery.

How does that align with others experiences of build completion to dealer delivery?

It’s worth bearing in mind that it can take a week or two for the car to get to Emden and then another couple of weeks to get on the ship to the UK…. With my car even though it got to Emden quite quickly it was still missing some part as were other 992s so it took almost 6 weeks to even get on a ship whilst the parts were fitted at Emden….. Suggest you wait to know it’s got on a boat before the two weeks to the dealer starts…

Ordered last week Carrera 4 GTS Cab - eta up to 18 months. Added quite a few non essential options, but in for a penny and all that. Deleted the -10mm as given my average driving skills I won't notice the handling difference, but the ride improvement and extra height will be better. No dramas with the wait, it will probably add to the ownership, although I will take a cancelled slot with my spec if it comes up as a result of world factors biting into someone's plans. Deleted factory PPF and will get OPC to arrange with local detailer for front end PPF.

Hi,
Anybody with connections in Porsche Mayfair? I just saw on their instagram page that they got in a 992 gts in arctic grey and i was wondering if we could get a video of it!
I called them and asked but i’m from Switzerland so i’m mot sure they would send me the video.

Thanks 😀

992 GTS a weapon! smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZs9ZfOu2b8&t=...

992 GTS Cab RWD does the 1/4 mile in 11.3 secs with the roof down and in the winter. I’d love to see what a lighter Coupe would have done.

992 GT3 does the 1/4 mile in 11.4 secs in better weather conditions. Which is lighter and has supposedly more power!

There was a lot going against the 992 GTS Cab here, but it’s still quicker than the 992 GT3 in a straight line and in the real world.

Is why I strongly feel Porsche under quote the figures on the 992 GTS. It feels more like 520bhp from my bum dyno in mine.

Just love the all round capability of the 992 GTS and so pleased with my choice, nothing else I wanted smile

I watched that this morning, even with a bad start , the GTS pull in the mid range, definately not <500bhp !

Mind you , the cold weather will always favour the turbo's ...

If I was speccing a new 992 it would be a weight conscious ‘T’ not a GTS.

911s should be about feel and feedback, not flat-out acceleration and grip, and think the new ‘T’ could be all the 911 most people would want for UK roads.
But, keep it simple - ‘less is more’.

Conditions etc , gt3 been clocked under 11 seconds on some runs .
No doubt the gts performance is monstrous but there are other factors why a gt3 will always feel more special and be more desirable .

GTS is definitely in the sweet spot. One can argue road vs track, but really, how often do you get on the track, while we can drive almost every day.

Is why I quoted the Carwow figures, like for like runway and UK based. 11.4 is the quickest they’ve had any 992 GT3 in any drag races they’ve done I believe. Even the recent one against the M4 CSL.

Like I said, would love to see what a lighter 992 GTS Coupe could have achieved here. smile

Agree, the way it reeled the others in even after a bad start was very impressive. I can confirm it pulls hard from 2k rpm all the way to the redline, never feels it’s running out of puff. No lag either.

I agree with you. For a specific track tool then GT3 is the one to have. But as an all rounder, GTS is the sweet spot for sure. Can do the odd track days and still hold its own as well as Euro tours. smile
