That has to be the ultimate Porsche on the planet!

That noise!

That said, I'd be happy with that engine in something like Chris Harris' old 964 myself.

Ruddy Nora that sounds good, nice work by Marino.

Oak Green looks outstanding, some of the detail hasn’t quite delivered for me, a little fussy and forced? At least in pictures.
Price irrelevant really as it’s an ‘as well as’ car, still a few quid mind...

The engineering visible in the video is absolute and outstanding. Love it.
What’s with all the red lights on the dash in the drive up the hill? I think I counted 4. That would annoy me if I had spunked a lottery win on this car.

Shame it doesn’t sound very 911 like anymore

But it’s not a Porsche. Looks like something Porsche might make if they were taken over by Gucci.

I sort of see (hear) what you mean. It has something reminiscent of the 90’s V6 Alfa touring cars. However, knowing just who’s been involved in the creation of that power plant makes everything okay IMHO.

Its a great engine from williams not singer,as you say does not sound like a 911 ,i can think of many other 911 that sound better.Ultimate 911?Its not a porsche 911,just a expensive hotrod. If you want a porsche buy a porsche, porsche make the best porsche cars.
There is a better 6 cyl engine Put in a 911 made by the old school geniuses From porsche.

The Singer, no doubt in my mind. That RS, despite its importance and rarity, is like a bag of spanners in comparison.

I like the other/“base” Singer car and would love one as daily, but this is just a little too cartoon Porsche for me (I obviously would love one just not instead of one of those or a 993 GT2)

Maybe the earlier Cosworth tuned cars were probably closer to the original 911 ethos?

I'd love to see more of the lightweight one.

The interior of the featured car looked a bit naff for my liking, in particular the rev counter which looked just like my grannies old mantlepiece clock.

I like the colour of the Singer was thinking about oak for my 997 to colour change. That light interior would be completely ruined in a few weeks! In all seriousness I'd just buy the hairpin car. This makes it look reasonable TBH.

The looks, sound, and price are all incredible. Apparently Hans Mezger was “consulted” during development of the engine. Does anyone know what he actually did though? I wonder if he actually designed any new parts or did anything else meaningful, or whether it’s more of an agreement to just use his name in marketing or something?

You'll feel a million dollars in the Singer. Having spent 2 million dollars...
