My car has arrived at dealers, 1 year after ordering and now the problem is with insurance!
I had it all sorted with my insurer Aviva and upon calling to take out the policy, they now won’t insure the car as it’s above £100k. (I’ve asked to pull the tapes as I went through everything with a fine tooth comb!)
So who are peeps using?
I'm with Admiral, I have two cars way over £100k with them plus a couple of relatively cheap cars too all on a Multi car policy. My C4S is unfortunately still sat at Emden - been there more than three weeks already. Apparently it is missing something - a sensor perhaps - and that won’t be fitted for a couple of weeks and it can’t be shipped until then. Dealer has another 992 in the same situation too…
If the car is at Emden, it would indicate that it is drivable so they could ship to the dealer to fit the missing part.IMO, car would be safer at the dealer, than in a yard at Emden.

Have taken delivery today, and it is absolutely brilliant!! Never driven such a great car.
@MK911Would you mind posting your order—allocation—build—delivery dates in the “911 from order to delivery” thread 🧵
I think it will be a great resource for all others waiting and speculating on dates.
Speaking to my SE today, the build allocations have been issued for Jan-Feb and that will be a tail-end of 992.
The public announcement of 992.2 is expected by the end of the year, with prod slots for Q1-Q2. So the most likely scenario is for me to get the 992.2 C2S in Q2-Q3 of 2023. I can live with that.

So, with the 992.2 only a few months away, and Porsche’s habit of improving, refining and fine tuning all their .2 iterations, will there not be an issue with customers, who have imminent builds, wanting to make sure they get the new model?Especially as there could be significant financial considerations.
