Front End Respray - 996 C2 in Zenith Blue
Discussion
Hi Folks,
The front end of my 996 looks like it needs some love. 23 years and 135k miles of use !
I was wondering what sort of prices people have paid for bonnet and bumper - with I guess a blend into the wings to make sure the match looks good.
I'll be going to two local bodyshops next week, but just wondered what ballpark you folks make have spent.

I also have a 996 C2 in Zenith Blue. I had the full front end forward of the screen sprayed a couple of years ago for a little over £700. I think that was exceptionally good value (and a really excellent job done). I believe there was an element of the paintshop wanting to get business-flow from the specialist I use, so I'm not sure how representative that price was of reality !

Just had my 997 turbo front bumper resprayed (meteor grey) to Freshen it up a bit. New splitter and zun sport grills fitted at the same time (parts supplied by me). 450
I don’t suppose you’re in Gloucestershire with a username like that … I’m in Gloucester so would be useful to know who you went to.I’ll be trying Paint and Body up near the old Cotswold Bowl and Recycling Centre in Cheltenham by Wymans Brook and then the specialist in Gloucester in the old matches warehouse that seems to do all the classic car restores

Speak to Kevin, smashing bloke and very helpful and accommodating.
They’re on the same industrial park as Cotswold Porsche Specialists, and do all their bodywork stuff.

Perfect - thank you. Ideal as I was probably going to use Cotswold to maintain the car.https://www.firstchoicebodyshop.co.uk/

Just had my bumper repainted (the supplying dealer had done a cheapo stone chip respray which was not very good, would have been better to leave it with the stone chips TBH) together with bonnet for stone chips and blend into the wings done by AutoCosmetic near Guildford. Not cheap at £1200, but perfect. Looks like factory quality paint, nice job.
