Someone needs to 'shop the word 'Emptied' after 'My Wallet'...

Speculation is that is a 918 VIP customer selling the car - those in the program are not subject to the one year lease clause... the 918 VIP program expires in July 2025, so they are taking a chance nothing else too special comes along before then.

Having shoved a fair few miles on my ST, i can see why these are at the flipper prices, not that i condone Circs 500k Uk prices, there really isn't much out there, personally, for me that i would feel more engaged driving!

That seems very cheap IMO (the plate not the car)

Limited market and only a very small amount know what it even refers to, tbh I’m surprised it went for as much.

indeed, though I don't sense much love for the 992 Sports Classic, the ones for sale never seem to move on, and never much chitter chatter about them on PH.

I think I would be having a 992 sport classic and 200k in the bank all day long!!
The Sport Classic looks special in the flesh, I have driven one and it feels unique, in a good way.
SC prices will start to go back up, in my opinion as it is a relative bargain with a smaller number manufactured and delivered to the UK.
ST seems to close to a GT3 touring, which is not a bad thing, but takes away its unicorn status a little.
But they are all good and manual, which is going to become very rare with the Gen 2 models hybrid system relying on the PDK.

This is a good review on how the ST drives. It’s nothing like the Sports Classic or a GT3, Sports Classic which is very much a GT cruiser type car.

prices of sport classic are only going to go one way and thats down. i had been looking to get one and was offered a pts one the other day at 280k. i held back on buying a pts one at xmas for 320k and im glad i did. lots for sale and price will drop even further once the 992.2 turbo with rear wheel drive and manual becomes available for circa 175k.

So you were offered an SC the other day for £280k , a car thats currently worth around £360k and you turned it down ?

Not sure they are worth £360k this PTS example is being retailed for £305k so what would the trade bid be? £30k less I would imagine.

you must have been dropped on your head a few times when you were younger.

a quick check on porsche finder would show you that theres one up for 305k, which orginally started at circa 380k.

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...

the one at 360k has been sat for months and a car with pretty much identical spec and lower mileage at 24 miles, was similarly priced, then dropped to 320k, then sold for slightly below that.

there are currently 8 992's sport classic available on porsche finder, with more on autotrader and i know of at least 3 which arent advertised but are for sale.

so yes i was offered a car at 280k which i turned down because i feel that they will be available at not much more than list in the next 6-12 months.

Sports Classic will not be coming down in price.
And there will not be a 992.2 turbo s in rear wheel and manual.
Turbo and Turbo s will be hybrid and no hybrid cars will be available in manual.
But the funniest thing about your post is the price you put for a manual turbo s.
You can not even get a gen 2 4GTS for much less than that.
A 992.2 Turbo s will be starting with a 2 and any special edition cars based on the turbo s will be more like 240k.
Power goes up and prices go up.
Go back and get that Sports Classic bought for 280K, it will be a smart move when you look back in 2025.

I agree with this. The SC is waaay less numbers (86 UK cars?) than the Speedster for example which has started to increase in value again now. The SCs have dipped like most models as finance is a considerable factor at this price point however there is also some uncertainty due to an over-supply of SCs currently in the market. I suspect these are making way for an S/T. Once all the S/Ts are delivered (with the requisite number flipped), I can see the SCs increasing in value

my post doesnt say anything about a turbo s, it says turbo, same as the sport classic is.

yes it will be coming, i know somebody who has seen it at the factory and i was led to believe that opc management were advised about it when they all went to singapore a few months back.

turbo sales were flat due to most people going for turbo s, therefore a manual rear wheel drive version is arriving to try and push up sales.

again, my price does not relate to turbo s. i dont know the price of a base 992.1 turbo but i'd guess it was around 140-145k?! therefore an extra 30k on top is a reasonable guess.
