Quite a bit of media coverage of late about significant price rise this year. Interested in peoples opinions, have read others saying 5/7% across the board on MY 24 cars or might it be even more so we think?

Price rises likely as Lotus along with other manufacturers have increased their Emira prices by a colossal 8% on £70k+ cars and post June 2023 V6 FE Emira builds and i4 cars despite no i4 FEs being delivered yet and unlikely now until 2024 which will doubtless face yet another price increase. biglaugh

Smart marketing for sure but lets face it we are all facing increasing costs and car manufacturers have borne the brunt for sure you almost feel sorry for them. laugh

Prices are released and on the configurator for 2024 model year. Looks like ~8% on the base cars and at least that on the options. Base Carrera now £97,000 and PTS on 911 now £7,880 !

6.3 % on my 911 GTS spec. Glad my order was sealed 16 Mar so immune from the 10k extra!

Just a quick heads-up for anyone waiting. It's only the MY allocation that determines the price a customer pays, nothing else, not order forms being signed etc.

- If a signed order was placed in MY23 and the allocation/build was given in MY23, then you aren't subject to any MY23 price rises from the point of your first signed order form through to receiving, even if Porsche put the prices up in the Model year.

But...

- If a signed order was MY23, but the allocation/build given is MY24 (after the summer shutdown), then you are subject to the first MY24 price (but not subsequent price rises in the model year whilst you wait).

Hope that helps anyone waiting. smile

Yes understood. The first thing I asked when my order was signed and finalised was is this the price I will pay - which was confirmed I assume on the assumption of the May 23 build. I have a build schedule from the OPC showing the stages through the May build and delivery to UK. Otherwise that increase would be a hard pill to swallow.

GT3 Touring base price up from £135,700 to £146,400.

Thats a 7.9% rise.

At a first glance some options prices are up even more in % terms.

To be fair they could stick a gt3 touring up to 200k and the limited numbers would still sell

I wonder what effect this will have on residuals.

If you bought a 992 new early on I assume you're still laughing as they must be £15k more now like for like ? Or more?

It used to be that the price wasn’t fixed until the car left the factory gates, As per conversation with OPC on a car we had coming that might have been impacted by the normal spring price rise. Order locked.deposit didn’t provide immunity from price rises. Maybe things have changed though.

Order form suggests price is fixed once you’ve returned the second set of order forms to finalise the build spec having been given an allocation.

True but what KMP posted is correct it is now all about whether a build slot crosses the model year.

Yes if it crosses the model year you pay the increase as they add spec and you need to pay the new cost.

So, in theory if you got a slot soon with delivery by July say you’d be on at 2023 MY (ie old) pricing?

does look as if all 992 are going to have solid residuals.
the 100k gts might take a long time to happen

My price is locked pre price increase as the car is already consigned, even the options (not that they have gone up that much, £1,110 in my case).

Any car delivered after the summer factory summer break will be subject to the increase whatever.

I got my allocation today and I was told I am on the existing list price. Also told new price affects August build, September delivery. I am June build.
I have e-mailed tonight to get full confirmation of my earlier conversation.
