It's like watching a QVC presentation.
It was awful wasn't it. The new GTS looks fantastic, but i must be really out of touch if that prat Matt Watson seemed the best candidate for the launch promo? So what if the new GTS just beats the old one in a drag race, I don't think many people buy a new 911 to drag race it. The Youtube generation has a lot to answer for and it seems the bigwigs at Porsche have drunk the Koolaid.
In summary, nice car, crap presentation unless you're 14!
Lots of previous optional extras now 'free' though - just configured a base Carrera for a laugh and it comes with rev camera, keyless, cruise, folding mirrors and a few others. Probably a lot of other stuff that I haven't noticed.
You could easily spec one now without any options and be happy, assuming you like black or white of course.

And how do any of those things improve the driving experience? I wouldn't pay extra for any of them if given the choice. You could easily spec one now without any options and be happy, assuming you like black or white of course.
As someone wrote on another 992 thread, prices were going up a lot, plus they would hammer on the paint prices just like Ferrari did with 296.. both on the stock market now, get used to it.. of course 992.1 will get scooped up, but the tyre kickers and keyboard warriors on depreciation or loads of over priced cars will still chime in.. they must be sharpening their keyboard fingers on 992.2 prices.

I can only see the Carrera Cab on the Configurator, no base coupe model unless its a MY23 model? You could easily spec one now without any options and be happy, assuming you like black or white of course.

The Porsche 911 is about to get significantly more expensive. While I appreciate the redesigned rear and the updated front lights, I don't think the 911 needed an increase in power. On UK roads, I often find it challenging to fully utilize the power in second gear.
It will be interesting to see how the value of Gen 1 models is affected, as they might appear quite affordable compared to the new Gen 2.

This was the price this morning.. the 116 was a previous price and the carrera was 97 but now showing 89, so there is a bug with configurator. It was 124k as I specced one up last year and pulled out when it got to 150k…
interestingmaybe they've done a cheeky price drop on the old model to clear stock ???

I think your right, I had a deposit done for a .2, but now going to look round for a nearly new 992 GTS. It will be interesting to see how the value of Gen 1 models is affected, as they might appear quite affordable compared to the new Gen 2.
