Has anyone with a confirmed allocation had their car come up on the My Porsche app yet?
Yes, mine has loaded jackwood said:
Add to that that there are only small changes to the .2 car, and a decent price increase, and you probably won’t see the same number of current owners making the jump up to the “new” car. Meaning more customers, like me, will hopefully get an opportunity at the car they have been wanting for a few years, but been excluded, due to the “process”.
I'd hesitate even if someone offered me a 992 2 GT3 car. Since 2012, many customers have felt disillusioned by the games that dealers/favoured customers played. I used to be wholly invested in the thrill of the chase and the next thing, but I look at things differently these days. Honestly, I’m not sure I would trade my current 992 GT3 for all the reasons you accurately shared above. The world economy has worsened since that crazy GT3 bubble we experienced after 2012. It’s pretty interesting to remember that around 2006, the 997 GT3/RS wasn’t even selling for retail price, and the dealer wanted me to take the car.One positive side effect of Trump's tariff's on European cars is that it should significantly reduce demand for GT3's in the U.S.
With a bit of luck, Porsche will redirect volume to other markets, with a few more coming to the UK. It may be the only way for Porsche to maintain their revenue and keep the factories utilised.
As there's minimal difficulty in obtaining standard 911/Cayman/Boxster models, the best approach would be to make more GT3 cars available.

No
But then the GT4 wasn’t added until it was already in build. I wonder if the dealers have to do something to get it on the app and mine just doesn’t do it or doesn’t know how to?
A bit odd - mine was in the app as soon as the allocation was confirmed. In fact the link to the app sent by Porsche was the first I was aware that the allocation had occurred.

Now showing a VIN and build start is imminent!

Not too bothered. My sales guy is a top bloke and is keeping me up to date if I shoot him a text.

My touring was built yesterday
Congrats! Mine is due to leave the factory tomorrow.
Haven’t been able to get a resolution regarding adding it My Porsche app yet though. Even Porsche GB can’t add it. They can see it assigned to my account on their system but can’t activate it on the app. Apparently it can now only be done once it reaches the dealer and goes through PDI. Nobody seems to know why.
Fingers crossed no hold ups. Heading to the Highlands on 24th April and would love to take the new car. Though the current daily is pretty epic up there too

We have a new Cayenne on the way and have only had the invitation to activate it on the My Porsche app today, now it has landed at Sheerness. So it may be that yours can be activated earlier than the PDI stage.I'm following this thread because the dealer has indicated he may be able to get me a GT3 allocation, so obviously I've made that more complicated by speccing up a PTS Touring. I've told him I'll live with a normal colour if he can get me one though. Fingers crossed that'll happen at some point this year or next.
