Ah, thanks mate! Don't know whose the R was - it was parked up at the Oulton Park Gold Cup and my son insisted on a cheeky photo.

Zyp's new wheels look good and I think the black ones look better in real life than on an average iPhone picture but I'm quite happy with my silver ones even if they do take a bit of cleaning.

As for the roof jibes...

I also think the black looks good, if getting a little to ubiquitous.

I just fancied a change - although for some reason the black wheels on a Spyder seem to make the car look lower that it actually is.
My new colour doesn't seem to do that.

The black wheels certainly make the cars look quite different.

The best thing about Zyp's colour is that they look good when full of brake dust - it amazes me when I wash my wife's Abarth and you realise how dirty they are even when they look OK from 6 feet away.

I've been thinking of having my wheels painted Black. I recon they would look great with the Guards red

But cmoose I think you have made a very good point and have given me pause for though confused

I nearly bought a red one but the deal wasn't right.
I'd have had the wheels done black as well.

Think the satin platinum would look good with red.

They are not factory style though - missing the silver rim and grey innards.

as a few here know, I bought mine with the black wheels - which look great - but I wanted unique - so painted them RS WeissGold - very happy with the results - pretty subtle.....

Great looking Spyders fella's clap
just a quick question, does any know the colour code for the grey wheels? I'm having my Cayman wheels refurb'd and want them done in a darker colour, than the standard silver.

Really appreciate any quick replies as i looking to get them done in the next day or so

sure - here's one.... They are subtle enough not to stand out too much - its the RS gold colour so hopefully not too maxpower!!! I had the plastic trims around the air vents, and the lower arm of the mirrors done too.

Yes, very subtle.

The platinum on my wheels is also an incredibly close match to the surrounds you've had painted.

I thought the platinum looked great - to be honest , I wasn't sure when you mentioned it beforehand....just thought they may look like covered in brake dust...but they look terrific...!

(I must be getting old...where did I get terrific from?)

There was one for sale some time ago - took a long time to sell.

I think they look a bit bland without the decals.

Hi Rob, the Caymans mine mate, not been on this sub-thread until earlier and recognised car in photo straight away!!
Noticed a couple of clean Spyders.
Cracking day laid on by Porsche and some great racing on track with fantastic weather!!

Don't know whose the other Spyder was either!

Was back there yesterday on the PCGB track day - weather not quite so glorious but at least you get to go round the track! There were 5 Cayman Rs there which I thought was a lot.
