Boxster Spyder
Discussion
In an ideal world I would rather black, silver or one of the blue ones but appreciate they are very rare. I am prepared to wait a little while but will jump on the first one that ticks all the boxes. I've looked at the white one and although the spec is perfect, the mileage is a little high as I do plan on using the car regularly. The red one at £52k is nice but strong money and I'm not convinced on the colour. I might need to see it in the flesh...

I bought the last OPC car blind mentioned above and very happy with the purchase . Actually think it was under priced for Spec and Mileage !
I agree it does feel light . This car being Manual , No A/C , Buckets , Spyders . ( Does have Radio and Steels - The shame of it ! )
Performance wise I've had 2 R's and this doesn't feel any slower , in fact a little stronger . And I've had a GT4 , 981 Spyder , 991 GTS and a Macan Turbo PP in between so was actually expecting this to feel slower . It doesn't .....

Really looking forward to getting it out on the open roads this summer... The last few days have been super warm and not gonna lie it does get a little hot it the cockpit, but once moving its no issue at all not having the AC. Let's face it I'm just as likely to be driving it with a coat on in the UK... To be honest those are the days I'm most looking forward too, crisp sunny winters morning, roof off, goggles on!

white i do believe is the most popular colour. having said that it was the launch colour and as such the marketing people ar Porsche must have thought the Spyder looks best in that colour.
these marketing people get paid a lot of money to market a new car and will give a lot of thought to the best colour to showcase a certain model

There is a nice red one for sale here, doesn't appear to be in the pistonheads classified.
Ashamed to admit I do get distracted by V12 Vantage Astons...

Hamptons formerly CJP purchased the car.and Put it up for £45.995. Im not sure this ever sold but has finished up on GT Heritage site at £51.997. I contacted GT and this was confirmed as a SOR.
Move fast...
Great 'comfy' spec and good price, albeit you may have a way to travel to collect it!

I've recently sold my Cayman R and am looking for a 987 Spyder, is there any discernible difference in performance? I imagine the Soyder feels a bit lighter on its toes so to speak?
If anyone knows of any manuals coming up for sale that aren't white or red please let me know, they're hard to find!
Thanks

I'd be listing at £50k if it were me . Doesn't sound like it has any Porsche warranty though , which is a bit of a pain for private sale . But Spec is great .
Always best to get a 111 inspection done if for sale private, then give the buyer a choice on warranty imo.the buyer then knows the car will past an inspection so no pre inspection needed and then the buyer can choose to buy or not buy a warranty from the seller as it's transferable.
no reason rarer cars should be cheaper than dealer cars imo, it's just how you go about selling that counts.

Lol. Ok.. it's yours for £49,995 without even having to haggle 2 have sold recently for mid £50's , admittedly with a little less miles 5/6k , but still.
I'm sure yours will go pretty quickly and I suspect to a trader as there's still room for a bit of profit on it I think . Particularly if they get it a couple of hundred miles south .
