Boxster wheels

I am after some spare wheels for my 2003 Boxster s
Don't mind if they are 17 or 18"
Does anybody have any and do you know if 987 ones are compatible?

I think 987 and narrow body 997 wheels are compatible.

AFAIK 986 and 996NB and 987 widths and offsets are close enough to be interchangeable.

Just for Info.

I have a 2003 S also

I bought some boxster wheels off ebay - £300 and in perfect condition.

But they turned out to be (I suspect) early non S wheels.
Rears are 8.0 ET 40 x 17 and fit OK.
Fronts are 6.5 ET 55 x 17 and would rub on the S brake callipers.

So I had to get some 3mm spacers and longer bolts for the fronts, they fit now.

These wheels are currently on my S with winter tyres on.
Rears have 225/45 tyres and fronts have 205/50, as shown in the handbook for winter fitments.

It is to run either winter tyres or decent normal tyres. In the summer it has federal rsr which in warm weather are really good
So new Boxster wheels should be ok then? That opens it up a bit as there seems to be more if those available

Sorry ti hi-jack but just to confirm my understanding that with a standard non-S 986 I can run any 987 alloys (maybe not the 19")? Thanks

For cheap rims, look on both eBay (when I was looking 986 wheels were plentiful) and here on Pistonheads classified. I got a set for £250 a year or so ago.
