If you wanted to buy it, why didn't you put a deposit down on it?

Hmmm.. so you post a link to a Porsche on a Porsche forum and somebody buys the car from under you. Going by the replies in your original thread it seems unlikely that the buyer was on here, even so, first come first served, live and learn.

To say that you hope that the car blows up on the new owner kind of says it all.

Didn't buy it straight away as the salesman was letting me and my wife test drive it today. Couldn't test drive it on the day I went to look at it as it had a flat battery.

I looked at that car (online only mind!), so bear in mind you may have dodged a bad one anyway. You were after a second opinion because it DOES seem a good price.

Shortly due a service, £475 a year VED, been SORN since 30/09/13 so not been run much. (It is a 2009 year 58 reg though, as if that really matters?)

For your post to make any sense, you must think that:

• all Porsche buyers read Pistonheads;
• all Porsches for sale are only advertised on Pistonheads;
• all other Porsche buyers are incapable of sorting through the classifieds for themselves; and
• posting a link on an open forum to a car for sale somehow gives you 'dibs'
